Klinik RC Cat L1 Max Forward battery cradle system

Available now from Klinik RC is their new Max Forward battery cradle system for the Schumacher L1 and L1 Evo 4WD buggy. Designed and tested with top Schumacher factory driver Michal Orlowski, on-track back-to-back testing with Klinik RC’s standard forward battery cradle netted 0.1 to 0.2 quicker laps at the famous Titan RC raceway in Poland. Testers saw faster corner speed, more rotation mid corner and better jump and landing performance. The set works very well in all conditions and on all surfaces as the designers pushed the battery as far forward as possible, making the set the ticket on high-grip surfaces to squeeze that last tenth out of each lap and every corner. The set works with shorty batteries up to 24.5mm thick, including all LCG packs and it is CNC-milled from 3mm carbon fibre in-house at Klinik RC in the US. Included in the set come two carbon fibre battery cradles, 3x14mm screws, hold down rings as well as decals.

Schumacher Mi7 aluminium spool/diff eccentric

Schumacher have introduced a new aluminium spool and differential eccentric for the Mi7 touring car that allows to adjust the height of the diff/spool to a new “high” position compared to the standard kit “low” position. The smart looking piece as normal is used to adjust the belt tension, as well as being able to fine tune the feeling of the car. Normally a higher front spool smooths the steering response compared to the standard low kit setting. A higher rear diff can give the car more drive out of the turns keeping it flatter whereas a low standard position normally gives a little more side bite. The eccentric features a black surface coating for wear and looks and it comes as pair.

Aerox touring car droop gauge set

Schumacher have introduced the new Aerox droop gauge set for 1/10th scale touring cars. The set is a new universal way to take the confusion out of measuring droop across different chassis manufacturers. Droop is a measurement used to define the point at which the tyre leaves contact with the ground. It can be a very powerful tool to quickly change the behaviour of a car. Measuring droop to the axle centre is the most accurate way of doing so, as it eliminates any potential discrepancy in the symmetry of suspension components. This method is also the only correct way to quickly and easily compare droop across different cars, without the need to account for any differences in car design. Using the Aerox system is simple. Fasten the droop wheels on to one pair of axles. The chassis sits on the 10mm droop blocks. The droop gauge is used to measure to the lowest part of the droop wheel. The reading from the gauge is the distance from chassis underside to the centre of axle. Repeat for the other pair of axles. For easy storage and transportation, the M4 grub screw is inserted into the side of the droop gauge so that it protrudes equally out of both sides. This is then locked off with the M3 grub screw from the underside. The droop wheels then attach to the droop gauge via the M4 grub screw for safe storage. The tools are available as full set, as gauge blocks only and as gauge and disks set.

Schumacher Cougar Laydown/KD titanium layshaft

Schumacher have announced the release of their new lightweight titanium transmission layshaft for the Cougar Laydown and KD kits. The standard layshaft weighs in at 13g while the titanium variant comes in at just 7.5g, saving 5.5g. It is not only the overall weight saving but more importantly the rotating mass is significantly reduced, meaning faster spool up time and acceleration. The shaft comes titanium-nitride-coated for a long life and it is aimed at racing which requires a slipper clutch, making it an ideal upgrade for astro turf and mod dirt drivers.
