Schumacher Mi6evo ultra short shock conversion

Schumacher have introduced the ultra short shock conversion kit for the Mi6evo touring car. The conversion provides the car with a lower centre of gravity than the standard kit shocks and towers. Stroke has not been compromised, these shocks and towers actually give more stroke than a standard Mi6evo. The shocks offer enhanced damping characteristics with a new larger diameter while the lower CG reduces the risk of traction roll on high-grip circuits. Included come 3 and 4-hole pistons included that utilise a new improved fixing method using a screw and a new seal pack housing with new O-rings improve sealing to prevent leakage. The kit includes all the parts required to convert to the ultra short shocks, including a new 5.5 turn 1.4mm wire 3.0 (N/mm) Schumacher spring and it has already demonstrated its performance in the hands of Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski with his 3rd place at the ETS Hudy Arena.

Schumacher Atom 40mm fan mount

Coming from Schumacher and designed for the Atom GT12 car is a 40mm fan mount kit. The use of a motor cooling fan significantly reduces motor temperature, allowing the timing or gearing to be increased, therefore resulting in more performance. Weight in the rear area of the car also gives improved forward drive and rear stability and the kit was used to win the 2018 BRCA National Championship. The 3-D-printed mounts come including mounting hardware with the optional fan not being included in the set.

RC Belgium Cougar KC conversion kit

RC Belgium has introduced a new conversion kit for the Schumacher Cougar KC buggy. Designed to make the KC even more versatile, the kit features three new transmission positions: Position 1.5 utilises a 108T belt for high grip conditions, position 2.5 uses a 74T belt for high grip conditions and position 3.5 runs a 62T belt for medium grip. Position 1.5 and 2.5 are best used when grip is high to very high such as on carpet. Position 3.5 is ideal for medium grip astro. A 16T pulley removes the need for the idler gears and creates a new internal ratio of 1.875:1. The kit is compatible with a total of 52 different belts ranging from 62T to 114T while the same pair of topdecks is used for all the transmission positions. The chassis and topdeck design also makes it possible to fine-tune the motor position as well as the battery position. Optional LiPo straps are included to remove the side pods for additional flex characteristics.

RC Belgium roll out new option parts

RC Belgium have introduced several option parts for the Schumacher KC and KD as well as the Kyosho Scorpion series of vintage re-release buggies. First up is a belt pulley for the Schumacher KC buggy. The pulley removes the need for the idler gears resulting in a 30 grams weight gain. Other advantages are less friction, a lower point of inertia and faster disassembly of the transmission. Fitment is secured by two grub screws. Also new is a LiPo strap compatible with the Schumacher KC and KD buggy. The new strap uses the original LiPo stops for a secure fit and for additional flex the side pods are not used. Next up is a steering set designed for the Kyosho re-release Scorpion, Beetle, Tomahawk and Turbo Scorpion. Featuring 2 ball bearings, the steering set replaces the original servo saver for a smoother and more durable steering. Last but not last is a carbon fibre rear shock tower for the Scorpion and all respective cars. It features two additional holes for more settings possibilities.

Schumacher CAT L1 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

Schumacher have introduced their latest contender for the competitive 1/10th 4WD buggy class in the form of the CAT L1. Developed in cooperation with Schumacher’s World Class drivers Michal Orlowski and Jörn Neumann, the L1 features a 3-gear centre transmission for opposite motor rotation, improving agility and steering on high traction surfaces as a lightweight layshaft and side gears make for reduced rotational masses. In addition, small, low rotating mass gear differentials with 3-position height adjustment allow to fine-tune driveshaft plunge for mixed track conditions. Another drivetrain gizmo is the FAB Front Adjustable Brake System with larger 22 tooth pulleys as a pinned and centre-mounted motor mount makes for a low overall centre of gravity. The buggy builds on a new 7075 aluminium chassis – with vertical top decks – to which the updated suspension is attached. New to the L1 are updated geometry wishbones, new rear hub carriers featuring new vari-length wishbone and hub geometry as well as revised front pivot strap inserts for front track width adjustment and nd new 8°, 10°, or 12° front rake adjustment. New big bore shock absorbers and an AEROX body and wing round out the all-new package. The car, that was used in prototype stages by Michal Orlowski to sweep the EOS rounds in Germany and Slovakia, is set for a release in April.
