Serpent Cobra titanium options

Another day, another batch of option parts for the Serpent Cobra S811 buggy. For those weight conscious drivers, Serpent have released a number of new titanium parts, including track rods, which are precision threaded with left and right threads. Available in M5x46, M5x53, M4x51 and also the steering servo connecting rod. The shock mounts have also received the titanium treatment.

Capricorn RC 733 one-piece engine mounts

Capricorn RC have released these new one-piece engine mounts for the Serpent 733. Designed to dramatically reduce engine temperatures, it helps increase the stiffness of the chassis and testing has so far shown good results. Available in aluminium or in brass for extra weight in an area that matters.

Continuing to release parts for their S811 Cobra, Serpent have released two new spur gears for the buggy. Available in 44T and 48T, they have been precision machined, from special hardened steel. Each gear sports the Serpent logo and the number of teeth for easy identification and are supplied with the seal.

Serpent S811, S120L & S100 springs

Serpent have today released lots and lots of springs. First up for the S811 Cobra are the addition of 7 new hardness of spring for front pink 4.8lbs, blue 5.0lbs, purple 5.2lbs, green 5.4lbs, grey 5.6lbs, yellow 5.8lbs & white 6,0lbs and for the rear pink 2.8lbs, blue 3.0lbs, purple 3.2lbs, green 3.4lbs, grey 3.6lbs & yellow 3.8lbs. Also for the Cobra is a new harder servo saver spring. For the S120L and S100 there is a new  selection of optional side and main springs that will also fit most other linked pancars. The new side springs include 4,5lbs, 5,0lbs, 5,5lbs, 6,0lbs, 6,5lbs & 7,0lbs while the main springs are 12lbs, 14lbs, 16lbs & 18lbs.

VIP Performance S100 235mm conversion

New from VIP Performance is the first in a new line of products specifically for the pan car market, this S100 235mm conversion set. Converting the standard 200mm World GT car to the wider format, the kit includes a 3mm carbon front plate that enables the front track width to be mounted wider. The other changes are at the rear of the car and include a lightweight wheel hub and wheel hub spaces as well as a D-Drive graphite axle to complete the conversion.

Bitty Design Cobra S811 Fighter body

Bitty Design have expanded their Fighter body line with the release of this new shell for the Serpent Cobra S811. Made from high quality 1mm thick polycarbonate, it features a forward cab design that gives your buggy faster steering response. Other features include side skirts for easy body location as well as an improved new cut line on the rear to allow the release of hot air from around the engine and pipe. The clear body is sold with protective film and window masks and decal sheets are included.

More new updates for the Cobra S811 with Serpent releasing these tapered pistons. Machined from Delrin these 16mm shock pistons are perfectly round and create a super smooth shock action. Available with 6, 8 and 10 holes and packed in sets of 4. Also for the S811 are these precision machined, lightweight steering servo rod. Made from top quality titanium, they are a direct replacement of the heavier kit spring-steel version.

Chris Kerswell joins Serpent

Chris Kerswell joins Serpent

Serpent have confirmed that current European 1/12th scale Stock Champion Chris Kerswell has joined their team for the 2010/11 season to run the company’s S120L car. Having won his European title with the V-Dezign car in the UK earlier this year, Chris is aiming to defend his title at next years Euros as well as compete at the British nationals as well as the Ardent Raceway winter series and selected EPS series races. He had the following to say:

Serpent cars have always been well designed and engineered. The S120L has looked good at every meeting I’ve seen it at and with more developments already in the pipeline it was an obvious choice.
