Shepherd Velox V8 chrome-style alloy clutch bell

New from Shepherd and made for the Velox V8 is the chrome-style aluminium clutch bell. Made from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium with a special “chrome-style” treatment the bell fits the standard type as well as the reverse type clutches. With a weight of just 4 grams the weight saving is about 60 percent compared to the standard steel clutch bell. For perfect performance Shepherd recommens to use the aluminium clutch bell in combination with the yellow tuning clutch shoe and the light flyweights.

Brilliant RC 6S LiPo battery pack

Brilliant RC have introduced their high quality competition battery especially designed for 1/8th on-road cars. As the huge weight of the battery should be placed in the centre of the car for a balanced handling, various 1/8th electric on-road cars need a special battery configuration. Developed with a leading battery manufacturer Brilliant RC now offers a suitable battery pack with a size of 93x70x42mm that can be used in the Shepherd Velox E8, Capricorn Lab E 801 as well as aftermarket upgrade kits for Serpent and Mugen. To maximise the power output the battery comes equipped with 5.5mm gold-plated connectors. With a capacity of 4450mAh the battery offers maximum runtime while still being below the crucial 100Wh shipping limit.

Shepherd Velox Revolutionary Shocks upgrade parts

Shepherd have new upgrade parts for their Revolutionary shock absorbers available. First up is the shock revision set that will keep the dampers in perfect condition. New piston rod O-rings guarantee a smooth operation of the piston rod while the black O-rings ensure a precise guidance of the floating piston. With the included balljoints and shock caps slop can be reduced for a much more precise operation of the shocks. Also new are updated shock bottom caps that allow an easier escape of air bubbles when tightening them down. Thanks to a much larger bleeding slot a simpler and faster filling of the shocks is possible and the screws are also included in the Velox kits from now.

Shepherd Velox V8 EC Black Edition kit

Following the introduction of the Velox V10 Pro Black Edition Shepherd have announced the Velox V8 EC Black Edition. Like the V10 Black Edition the 1/8th scale kit is equipped with black anodised aluminium parts instead of the regular Shepherd blue parts, giving the successful platform a new and stylish look. The black aluminium parts will be also available as a conversion kit or as single pieces.

Shepherd Velox V10 Pro 2015 Black Edition

German company Shepherd have announced the forthcoming release of the Velox V10 Pro Black Edition kit. The popular 200mm nitro on-road car is equipped with black anodised aluminium parts instead of the regular Shepherd blue parts, giving the successful platform a new and stylish look. The black aluminium parts will be also available as a complete conversion kit or as single pieces in about two weeks.

Shepherd Velox V8 aluminium middle shaft

Shepherd have introduced another option part for the Velox V8 1/8th on-road car in the form of an aluminium shaft for the use on the middle bearing block. Compared to the standard shaft the aluminium part saves about 65 percent of weight, resulting in improved acceleration. The shaft comes hard-coated for wear and is available now.

Shepherd Velox V8 EC low-friction belt pulleys

Team Shepherd have announced a new low-friction belt pulley set for the Velox V8 EC. Made from a revolutionary material that combines a super smooth surface with an excellent durability the ultra true running pulleys provide a better and smoother performance of the complete drivetrain and improve the acceleration and mileage of the car. The pulleys are available as a set or separately.

Shepherd Velox V8 hard-coated alloy wheel axles

Shepherd have introduced new option parts for the Velox V8 in the form of hard-coated wheel axles that reduce the rotating mass by around 50 percent to improve the acceleration and overall handling of the car. The CNC-machined wheel axles are made from high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium which offers high strength and durability. A special hard-coating prevents the axles from excessive wear and an additional hole for the CVD pin simply doubles the lifetime. The axles are available separately or as a complete set with CVD driveshafts.
