Shepherd Velox RSS teflon shock pistons

Shepherd have announced their updated shock pistons for the Velox Revolutionary Shock System. The new pistons are made from high-quality teflon material and have a rounded shape to guarantee a much smoother damping characteristic. The standard 1-, 2- and 3-hole pistons have 1.0 mm holes and are complemented by additional pistons with 1.2mm holes. Made for shocks with an inner diameter of 10mm they also fit other shock systems on the market and the pistons are available from now on.

Rick Vrielijnck teams up with Shepherd

Shepherd have announced the signing of Dutch front runner Rick Vrielijnck for the remainder of the 2015 season. The 9-times Dutch national champion and multiple EC-A, World Championship and ENS finalist plans to race all remaining major 1/8th on-road events, such as the ENS and Euros in Ettlingen, the ENS final in Fiorano and the Worlds in Brazil. Rick had the following to say about the deal:

I’m very excited to join Team Shepherd and I’m very thankfull for this opportunity. As I was looking for a car that suits my driving style better and a team that is always working hard to support their drivers Shepherd has been the right choice and I’m glad that they were also excited to work with me. Shepherd Premium Thrust Bearing Grease

Shepherd have announced the expansion of their range of lubricants with another product, the Premium Thrust Bearing Grease. The mineral oil based, water resistant and rust inhibiting lubricant can be used under high temperatures while thanks to its good mechanical stability only a small amount of grease is needed to extend the life and reduce the wear of any thrust bearing. The lubricant comes in a handy 6g container with a sticker on the lid for easy identification.

F.V.S.S. Reverse TQ F.T. Line clutch

Italian company F.V.S.S. have introduced their new F.T. Line reverse TQ clutch for Mugen and Shepherd cars. Developed in cooperation with World Championship finalist Francesco Tironi, who also gives his initials for the F.T. line of accessories, the clutch is made using the finest materials for best possible performance and durability. It utilises a 7075-T6 aluminium clutch bell which is specially treated and a standard yellow clutch pad with the combination of both giving exceptional performance. The clutch comes with all needed hardware and it is soon also available for ARC cars.

Shepherd 1/10th scale Team Edition clutch

Hot on the heels of Shepherd’s Team Edition clutch for 1/8th nitro on-road cars comes a dedicated 1/10th version for the Velox V10 and other nitro cars. Based on the proven Velox Competition Clutch the new state-of-the-art lightweight reverse-type clutch is meant to offer excellent performance without any compromises. Featuring a black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium flywheel, a shiny aluminium pressure plate, special compound fly weights, a yellow PTFE clutch shoe and a new Shepherd clutch spring the Team Edition clutch will deliver consistent engagement and a powerful acceleration. To complete the set high quality bearings and the needed fastening material and shims are included. All parts are also available separately.

Shepherd multi-functional 3-in-1 team jacket

Shepherd have introduced their brand new 3-in-1 team jacket. Coming in a new design, the multi-functional jacket offers best properties for all weather conditions as it can be used as single windbreaker, padded windbreaker or just as a body warmer. An integrated hood completes the diverse jacket. Thanks to the high-quality polyester material and the fully taped seams the jacket is water- and windproof. Furthermore it’s equipped with an inside right chest pocket, two front pockets with storm flaps and two side pockets in the body warmer.

Shepherd Velox V10 rear anti-roll bar options

Shepherd have introduced new optional rear anti-roll bars for the for the Velox V10 200mm nitro on-road car. The 1.6mm and 1.8mm rear anti-roll bars in combination with a new 2.0mm bushing allow additional setup possibilities to fine-tune the rear end of the car. Made of high-quality spring steel the softer anti-roll bars offer improved rear end stability to unlock the full steering potential of the Velox V10 without ending up with a difficult-to-drive car.

Shepherd introduce the new Team Edition clutch for the Velox V8 and other 1/8 nitro cars. Based on the successful Velox Competition Clutch with the famous extra-hard clutch spring the new state-of-the-art lightweight reverse type clutch is meant to offer excellent performance without any compromises. Featuring a black anodised 7075 T6 aluminium flywheel, a shiny aluminium pressure plate, special compound fly weights, a yellow PTFE clutch shoe, a clutch bell with optimised surface and the famous extra-hard Shepherd clutch spring the Team Edition clutch will deliver consistent engagement and a powerful acceleration. To complete the set a 16T and a 20T hard coated aluminium pinion, high quality bearings and the needed fastening material and shims are included. All parts are also available separately.
