New from Shepherd and made for the Velox V10 Pro are hard compound lower A-arms. Due to a higher percentage of glass fibres mixed into the raw material the arms are noticeably stiffer than the stock parts, making them ideal when running in high ambient temperatures or on high traction tracks. The arms are a direct replacement and available now.

Shepherd announce the release of the Team Edition main chassis plate for the Velox V10 Pro 1/10th 200mm car. Developed and tested by the Shepherd’s factory team drivers the new chassis has already shown its potential at this year’s European Championship in Valencia. The extra hard chassis plate is CNC-machined from German 7075-T6 aluminium with the combination of super-strong material and updated battery cutout resulting in improved flex characteristics for increased overall traction under all conditions. An additional cutout for the middle bearing block prevents it from twisting and keeps the belts perfectly aligned at all times. The Team Edition chassis is available now.

New from Shepherd comes an aluminium radio plate mount for the Velox V10 Pro. The latest option part is not only a visible improvement but also allows for a more solid radio plate mounting which results in increased stiffness, strength and less wear of the radio plate. CNC-machined from high quality 7075-T6 material the mounts come blue anodised to match with the remainder of the car’s alloy parts.

Shepherd Micro Racing release an updated one-piece aluminium steering servo mount for the Velox V10. Due to the new lightweight-design it is about 40 percent lighter than its predecessor. The blue-anodised CNC-machined servo mount is made of high quality 7075-T6 material to provide a sturdy base for the steering servo. This results in a very precise control of the steering movement and optimised handling. Long holes allow the use of different kinds of servo and the necessary fastening material is included.

Shepherd introduce a new lightweight 2-speed shaft for all Velox V10 vehicles. The shaft is hollowed to reduce weight and rotating mass by about 30 percent, resulting in improved acceleration. Machined from premium steel the part is heat-treated and ground for maximum precision and a smooth ball-bearing fit without sacrificing durability.

Team Shepherd have released new titanium screw sets for the Velox V10 “PRO” and the Velox V8 “EC”. These premium titanium screws are machined from the highest grade raw material and compared to the standard screws, these titanium versions are about 45% lighter and lower the overall weight significantly. They are available in 3×6, 3×8, 3×10, 3×12, 4×8 and 4×10mm countersunk versions and 3×6, 3×8, 3×10 and 3×12mm button head versions and as complete sets.

Italian based company Blacktarmac introduce their new version 3.0 double reverse clutch for 1/10th nitro on-road cars. The latest version is meant to offer improved durability and efficiency thanks to a new clutch shoe material that features a new PTFE formulation as well as a pre-lubrication for increased durability of the contact surface between the clutch bell and the shoes. Other new features include a new “double reverse” mass made from the same material as the shoes and with a different weight compared to the previous versions. Last but not least is a new calibrated spring. The ver. 3.0 clutch is available for Xray NT1, Capricorn Lab C02 and Shepherd Velox V10 cars.

Shepherd announce a new gasket for the gear differential of the V10 car. Together with a leading German sealing manufacturer Shepherd developed a gasket of a new shape and made from a special material. The new material combines the characteristics of a fibre gasket with the positive properties of an elastomer, thus making it possible to produce a gasket that allows for easy installation due to the stable surface tension, excellent adaptability to unevenness at minimum surface pressure levels and very low leakage levels even when surface pressure is extremely low. The new seals are also offer excellent temperature stability and they are available from now on.
