Team Shepherd have announced a new optional item for the Velox V10 platform in the form of an all-new radio plate stiffener milled from high-quality German carbon fibre. Mounted at the front end it changes the cars flex characteristic which can be helpful under high-traction conditions by taking out some steering. The necessary screws are included and the item is available from now on.
Shepherd have introduced their updated 2-speed gearbox for the Velox V8.2 on-road kit. The new 2-speed shoes are made from a more consistent composite material using an M4 grub screw to adjust the gap between the shoes and the bell. The 2nd gear bell is machined from high quality 7075-T6 aluminium and features a slightly bigger inner diameter to be able to set the correct gap. To update current V8.2s the items are available as an upgrade set. In case the M1.0 gearbox is still in use Shepherd offer a complete set including spur gears, pinions and all necessary hardware. In addition all items are also available separately for spares or repair.
Shepherd have announced the released of their latest optional item for the Velox V8 and V10 platforms. The extra heavy brass weight can be used in combination with the Advance Weight System for the V8 as well as the V10. With 39g the weight lowers the centre of gravity significantly and quick fine tuning of the car’s weight balance is even easier. The item is milled from high quality brass material and available from now on.

Coming from Desiles Aero are new aero option parts for the Shepherd Velox V8.2 on-road kit. First up is an extra long rear body mount arm. These arms are 2.7mm longer than the original part in order to increase the height of body. It does away with the need to put a piece of foam onto the rear body mount as some drivers do. Using the longer arms will ensure all downforce produced by the rear of the body is transferred directly to the wheels. The parts are 3-D-printed and allow the attachment of another new part, the optional arm wings. The latter were designed to improve rear downforce and traction at all speeds, making for a more planted ride. Like the body mount arms, the wings are 3-D-printed and they are a direct fit to the above body mount arms.
Coming from Desiles Aero is their new servo saver lock for the Shepherd V8.2 kit. The tool allows to lock the servo saver in neutral position without having to switch the transmitter and receiver on, allowing for exact and symmetrical toe adjustments every time by simply placing it on the radio plate above the servo saver.
Shepherd have announced the return of South American nitro on-road front runner, Flavio Elias to their team. Back in 2015 the polite Brazilian managed to claim the South American Championship as well as a 4th place at the IFMAR World Championship together with Shepherd and now the cooperation has been renewed. Due to the worldwide Corona virus pandemic Flavio plans to attend only regional and national races in 2020 with the main goal being the Worlds in Japan in 2021. Desiles Aero have announced the release of their new body mount horns for 1/8th on-road kits such as the ones from Mugen, Shepherd and WRC Racing. The 3-D-printed parts add to the rear body mount as usual, reinforcing the side dams of the body for improved aerodynamic efficiency, however the horns include a lower airfoil that is meant to improve downforce for improved stability at high speeds. The add-on horns are available for Mugen, Shepherd and WRC Racing cars with more brand to follow shortly.
Coming from Shepherd and made for the Advanced Weight System of the Velox V8.2 and V10 is a new brass insert. The part is milled from high-quality raw material and adds 16g of weight compared to the standard aluminium variant, lowering the centre of gravity even more which is beneficial especially on high-grip tracks. The brass insert will become available very soon.
