Sirio have released details on their new XL7 .21 engine for the offroad category. The engine features a 5+2 port ABC liner and a new piston alloy to improve performance and durability. The crankshaft sports the ubiquitous silicon insert while an updated crankcase helps to improve cooling. A carburetor with interchangeable venturis, standard steel ball bearings and a lightened cooling head complete the package.
Italian company Sirio have released their latest tuned .21 onroad engine called the Seven. This top of the line competition motor features a hand tuned 7 port ABC liner, hand tuned balanced crankshaft with silicon inserts and a Swiss made ceramic main bearing. Available now.
Sirio have released their XL3 tuned .21 engine for 1/8th buggy and truggy classes. The 3 port motor features hand tuned liner, crankcase and crankshaft, which has been lightened. A modified piston helps improve performance further while the lightened cooling head helps lower the centre of gravity. The engine comes supplied with carburetor with 7mm venturi and bushing system to avoid overheating and ceramic Swiss main bearing.
Through a partnership with a company specializing in fluid dynamics and computer modeling, Star Motor Engineering have engineered these new .12 and .21 on road pistons that has the best performance possible. Under patenting, this new part is in the advanced stages of testing by team drivers and will soon be available in all racing products made by the Italian company. The new design claims to give better balancing of moving masses, ensuring more RPM and less mechanical stress on the crankshaft and bearings, better thermal efficiency due to less thermal inertia and finally lightening of the part limits inertia during acceleration which improves the rpm at maximum speed.
Following the successful launch of the .12 RVS clutch back in August, Lavorazioni Meccaniche S.r.l – Star Motor Engineering have now produced a new .21 RVS clutch system. The new clutch system uses the same new design and way of working as the previously released version, with the weights and shoe working in a completely different way to increase performance and acceleration of the engine. The power clutch kit has a lightweight flywheel with a new ‘flat design’ and the Italian company has also worked to balance it to get the most performance from the engine. All parts such as the spring catch, flywheel nut and spring nut are made from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium for maximum lightness, while the new clutch disk is hardened for durability. Expect the new clutch system to be released in late December.
Star Motor Engineering has released this CAD image of their new Sirio .12 Power clutch system V. The new clutch system features a ‘revolutionary’ design and way of working that increases the performance and acceleration of the engine. The new power clutch kit sports a flywheel with a new ‘flat design’ that is lighter than the previous version. All parts like the spring catch, flywheel nut and spring nut are made from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium for minimum weight, while the new clutch disk is hardened for durability. The kit will include a new red shoe made in a special and exclusive composite material. Expect it to make its debut in Houston for the 1/10th 200mm World Championship after which it should becomes available.
Having announced his deal with Capricorn yesterday, top electric driver Christer Andersson, has joined team Sirio to power his new chassis’. Pictured above with Sirio’s Gino Voghera, the Associated team driver will participate at the 200mm touring World Championships in Houston as well as the Euros in Gotenborg using the Sirio XXX-V engine.
Team Epic have announced the release of this Sirio .27 engine, which is a direct fit for the Traxxas Revo and T-Maxx. This 7 port engine features an ABC piston and sleeve, high performance ball bearings and slide carburetor and uses a standard starting system. Comes supplied in two versions with a specific engine mount for each of the two chassis’.
