Coming from T-Works and made for a range of electric touring cars are aluminium front spool cups. They are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, they feature a hard-coated surface for wear and they are usable with Xray, Spec-R, CSO and Team C kits. The cups are a direct replacement and need to be used with driveshaft blades.
Spec-R have two new carbon fibre upper decks for the Xray T4’16 available. Coming in a stiffer 2.0mm and more flexible 1.5mm variant the top decks help to fine-tune the flex characteristics of the car especially when running an aluminium main chassis. The separately available top plates are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and a direct replacement for the stock parts.
Coming from Spec-R and made for the Xray T4’16 touring car is a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis plate. Cut from high-quality carbon fibre the chassis is of a fully symmetrical design with the milled motor pocket also apparent in the battery compartment to make for equal left-to-right flex characteristics. The chassis is a direct replacement for the stock part and available soon.
Spec-R have introduced an aluminium rear hub set for the Tamiya MF-01X off-road vehicle. Included are blue anodised aluminium uprights that utilise composite inserts for the suspension pins, as well as carbon fibre camber plates along a set of mounting hardware. The alloy hubs make for improved durability and precision while adding visual impact at the same time.
Coming from Spec-R and made for Tamiya’s MF-01X kit is a range of blue anodised aluminium option parts. First up is a set of front castor blocks that are made to replace the standard plastic parts. The hubs offer improved durability, cool looks and they include a 6-piece set of bushings for the kingpins. Also new are three different length centre driveshafts, again made from aluminium and coming with a blue finish, the laser-etched parts are available in 203mm, 188mm, and 173mm configuration and they are not only light of weight but also spin very true, making for optimised drivetrain efficiency. Last but not least comes a 4-piece set of aluminium gear differential shafts. Again made to scrub weight and reduce rotation mass the parts also look cool until they are hidden inside the differential case.
Spec-R have an aluminium diff gear cross shaft set for the Tamiya MF-01X available. Made from high-quality material and coming blue anodised the shafts weigh in at only 6.7g compared to the 19.6g of the original steel shafts. This greatly reduces the rotational mass of the drivetrain for quicker spool up, improved braking and longer run times.
New from Spec-R and made for the Xray T4-15 is the version 2 one-piece motor mount set. Making use of a redesigned motor and layshaft mount the set allows for a more equal left-to-right flex of the chassis and also more overall flex if needed as it connects to the upper deck using a single chassis post. Included comes an orange anodised motor and layshaft mount with ARS mounting points, a 64dp spur gear, alloy pulley, ball races and more.
Coming from Spec-R and made for the Xray T4-15 touring car is a floating steering conversion kit. Making use of a redesigned upper servo mount plate and new orange anodised aluminium steering posts the set removes the kit’s steering assembly from the main chassis in favour of a “floating” design. The result is a more freely flexing chassis and less influence of the chassis’ flex on the steering angle during cornering. The conversion bolts right onto the standard inner servo mount and it is available now.
