Carsten Keller teams up with Team Associated

German Team Associated distributors LRP have announced the signing of Carsten Keller to run the RC8B3 and RC8B3e at all major races across Germany and Europe. The former SWorkz driver and national frontrunner will also use LRP, AKA, JConcepts and Sanwa equipment, with the campaign for his new chassis sponsors starting at the forthcoming EFRA 1/8th Nitro Buggy European Championship A in Spain. Carsten has the following to say about the deal:

I want to thank Jürgen Lautenbach, Andy Krämer and the whole LRP team as well as Team Associated for making it possible for me to run a full “Blue package” from now on. I am very proud of all the faith LRP is having in me and I am sure their efforts will pay off. I will do my best to represent all brands as good as possible.

Team Associated B6/B6D titanium screw kit

Team Associated have announced the release of a titanium screw kit for the B6 and B6D buggies. Including 90 screws in total, the lightweight fasteners make for significant weight savings compared to the standard steel screws while also improving visual impact thanks to their shiny appearance. The screw kit is usable for both cars and available now.

JConcepts B6-series Fin titanium turnbuckle set

JConcepts have announced the soon release of the Fin titanium turnbuckle set for the Team Associated B6 series of buggies. The base of the shafts design is centred around a .143″ titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3mm thread base design which accepts the standard AE ball-cup configuration. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the “finned” cuts that rotate about the centre. The turnbuckles are produced with left and right hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation and the set fits both the B6 and B6D.

Avid B6-series titanium ball stud kit

Avid have introduced a titanium ball stud kit for the Team Associated B6 and B6D off-road buggies. It includes a total of 12 ball studs made from billet 6Al-4V material and sporting 2mm allen heads on top of the ball for easy removal. 40 percent lighter than the kit’s steel ball joints the titanium parts help to scrub some weight while also looking great.

Pro-Line B6/B6D Predator bodyshell

Pro-Line have introduced the new Predator bodyshell tailor-made for the Team Associated B6 and B6D. Deputed on the B5M the body underwent a redesign to fit AE’s latest 1/10th 2WD buggy. Taking design features from the Phantom and Type-R bodies, the Predator stands out while delivering performance to match. As usual the body comes clear, including window masks and a decal sheet.

JConcepts B6/B6D pre-cut chassis protective sheet

JConcepts have introduced their new chassis protective sheet for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. Coming pre-cut and sporting JC’s Striker graphics the decals will protect the chassis bottom from becoming damaged on abrasive surfaces while decreasing friction between the bottom plate and the dirt surfaces at the same time. The pre-cut stickers come in sets of two, ready to be applied on both new and used chassis.

Gravity RC B5 & B6 ceramic-coated steel bearing kit

New from Gravity RC comes a ceramic-coated steel ball bearing kit for the Team Associated B5, B6 and B6D. This upgrade kit has a total of 14 ceramic-coated steel ball bearings which replaces the gearbox and four corners of the Team Associated B5 and also the newest B6 and B6M off-road buggies. The bearings come lightly oiled and will reduce the drivetrain drag for upped acceleration and top speed especially in stock racing classes.

T-Works TC7 hybrid & standard titanium turnbuckle sets

T-Works have introduced two new turnbuckle sets for the Team Associated TC7 touring car. Available as hybrid mixed titanium and aluminium set, made up using titanium links and anodised alloy hex centres, and also as standard all-titanium offering, the sets include seven turnbuckles and a suitable 4mm wrench. The tie rods are made of high-quality titanium and they not only are light of weight but also very durable.
