Avid Associated 12mm shock & turnbuckle tool

Avid introduce the 12mm shock and turnbuckle tool for Team Associated 1/10th buggies such as the B5, B44.2 and T4.2. The tool works with Associated, JConcepts and Lunsford turnbuckles and can also be used to hold the shock bottom of the new AE 12mm shocks. The tool also mimics the servo mounting pattern of the B44 buggy allowing to mount the servo to the mounts outside of the chassis meaning everything will be nice, centred and tweak-free. Once the assembly is squared up detach it from the tool and mount it to the chassis. The tool is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminium and comes black anodised with silver edges and laser-etched logo.

Jonas Kaerup confirmed at Reedy & Associated for ’14

Jonas Kaerup confirmed at Reedy & Associated for '14

Long standing Team Associated driver Jonas Kaerup confirms his 2014 deal with both Team Associated and Reedy Power. “The Great Dane” will be an integral part of the Scandinavian line-up for 2014 and is a definitive member of the team. With many years experience in both on and off road classes, Jonas’ wealth of experience including a European Championship and numerous nationals titles will be essential in the development of the younger drivers. Jonas will help bring the team together and nurture the younger talent. This is what Jonas has to say about the deal:

I’ve had many amazing experiences and years racing with Team Associated and I’d like to continue to grind out some good results in my twilight years but my priority will be to develop the team and help wherever possible with the progress of the younger drivers. Having a son of my own who races has made it increasingly more visible to me that guidance and support in the right manor is so important. I had this help when I was younger and it would be nice to pass this knowledge on to somebody who can eventually enjoy the experiences I’ve had in my RC career.

JConcepts B5M Silencer bodyshell

JConcepts introduce the Silencer bodyshell for the Team Associated B5M mid motor 2WD buggy. Sporting the well-known Silencer design features the body sports a mild cab forward design, a roof top shark fin and an extremely low profile appearance. Made from clear polycarbonate the body comes including window masks, decal sheet and two 6.5″ Hi-Clearance wings.

Centro B5/B5M brass & aluminium front bulkheads

CML Distribution introduce brass and aluminium front bulkheads for Team Associated’s B5 and B5M buggies. The front A-arm mounts are of a 25°/30° design and come as 37g brass or 13g aluminium version to alter the weight distribution of the buggy by simply using the heavier brass or lighter aluminium part. Included in the sets are delrin bushings and mounting hardware. Also new are brass, aluminium or delrin front bulkhead braces that weight 24g, 8g and 4g respectively. The parts can be used in addition to the aforementioned parts or with the standard composite bulkhead.

Team Associated Pit Mat

JConcepts B5M Silencer bodyshell

Set for an official debut at next week’s Cactus Classic is the JConcepts Silencer bodyhell for the new Team Associated B5M. Sporting the distinctive Silencer cabin design the body is made to give AE’s mid motor contender a totally new look and improved aerodynamics. Expect the official announcement to follow soon.

Pro-Line B5M Phantom bodyshell – coming soon

Available soon is Pro-Line’s Phantom design bodyshell for the Team Associated B5M buggy. Making use of the design features found on the previous releases the shell is tailor made to fit the mid motor B5M buggy. Pro-Line has not given a release date yet but expect the body to hit the store shelves soon.

ZZRacing titanium & stainless steel screw kits

ZZRacing have new titanium and stainless steel hex socket screw kits available for a variety of chassis such as the Serpent SRX2, the Tamiya TRF418, Hot Bodies R10 and Team Associated B5. There are also coming kits for the Xray XB4 2014, XB4 2WD as well as the Team Durango DETC410 and DEX210v2. The sets are made as a direct replacement for the stock steel screws, they save weight, add durability and a certain amount of bling to the chassis.
