Reflex Racing T4 & TC6.1 options

Reflex Racing T4 & TC6.1 options

Reflex Racing have released some new items for the Xray T4 and Associated TC6.1. Firstly for the T4 there is this asphalt spring set which comprises of springs that are more progressive which compliment the Xray T4’s low center of gravity to yield more steering and corner speed.  The progressive springs act softer in the beginning of the corner to give more steering and then stiffen up as the car makes it’s way around the corner, to provide better mid and exit steering. The Progressive spring set includes 4 pairs of springs and while these springs are our preferred items for asphalt, they will also work quite well on carpet. Reflex also offer machined Delrin pistons with 3/6 Holes and 4 holes (1.0-1.2mm holes).

JConcepts AE titanium turnbuckles

JConcepts AE titanium turnbuckles

JConcepts introduces a stylish, durable and lightweight alternative Titanium turnbuckle kit for the popular Team Associated vehicles. The base of the shafts design is centered around a .143” titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3mm thread base design which accepts standard JC and AE ball-cup configurations. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the ‘finned’ cuts that rotate about the center. The fin turnbuckles are lightweight and the original design brings out the glamour and quality that makes titanium one of the most sought after exotic materials in the world. The JConcepts turnbuckles are produced with left and right hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation. The suitable JConcepts turnbuckle adjustment wrench is offered separately.

Avid 12mm 2-hole big bore pistons

Avid 12mm 2-hole big bore pistons

Avid extends their range of 12mm big bore shock absorber pistons by two flat-type 2-hole 1.5mm and 1.7mm variants. The precision machined pistons are useable with many of today’s 12mm big bore shocks such as the ones from Team Associated, TLR and Kyosho. Machined to tight tolerances the pistons reduce performance decreasing blow-by and come supplied in sets of four in a handy container. To make the most out of the company’s line of shock parts Avid also released a comprehensive piston table, a 1 page reference and setup help. The goal of the piston table is to provide recommendation on what pistons/oil to use as a standard setup, and then to dictate which pistons to use in order to change setup for grip, large jumps, and smooth or bumpy conditions. Team Speedmerchant TC6.1 shock towers

Speedmerchant TC6.1 shock towers

Team SpeedMerchant have released their new Associated TC6 front and rear lowered shock towers. Designed to fit the new style TC6 or 6.1 with the vertical ball stud bearing caps/bulkheads, both towers have had the shock mounting positions lowered by 2mm. On the front tower they removed the inner most and outer most stock position mounting holes, while the rear tower has had the 2 outer most holes removed, but they have added 2 new Inner holes for mounting your shocks. The rear tower also has a lowered rear body mount position by exactly 1 body clip hole, but the post is in the same location as the stock tower for a painless change over. The towers were lowered as much as possible while still being able to use the stock Associated springs giving your sedan a lower CG, and by utilizing the new mounting positions on the rear tower your TC6 will gain a ton of rotation.  They are machined out of 2.5mm quasi-isotropic carbon fiber for superior rigidity and durability.
