Reflex RSD6 conversion kit

Reflex Racing introduce the RSD6 chassis conversion kit for Team Associated’s TC6 and TC6.1 touring car. The set includes a 82mm wide 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis plate, adjustable CF LiPo battery braces, transverse servo mounting bracket, aluminium dual bellcranks as well as stainless steel and aluminium hardware. The narrower chassis allows for a soft suspension setting for improved bump handling while the dual bellcrank steering makes the car much easier to drive. Additional flex at the bulkheads develops more mechanical grip, especially when running spec tyres. The conversion kit is now available on pre-order, shipping starts end of April, beginning of May.

Dual Cardan joints allow for smoother power transfer in the front drive train of your Touring Car when the wheels are turning. Installing these in your car will allow for the car to drive smoother and have increased steering especially in tight corners. The RSD DCJs from Reflex Racing work with both the TC6 and the TC6.1 so long as you are using a 5x10x3 bearing in the TC6 and a 5x10x4 bearing in the TC6.1. You must also use a Hex Hub adapter with a larger axle hub opening like the ones for the HB TCX, Yokomo BD-5 or 3Racing Sakura line of vehicles. Each package includes 2 DCJ’s.

Hebert wins ROAR 1:12 Modified carpet nationals

The ROAR Carpet On Road Nationals was held at Mike’s Hobby Shop just outside of Dallas, TX in the suburb of Carrollton. In the 1:12 Modified class, Keven Hébert and his 12R5.1 powered by Reedy and LRP laid down the fastest qualifier of the weekend in the final round to start on pole for the triple A-main events. However, the French Canadian wouldn’t need three main events to claim his first Modified National Championship. Rocketing from the pole position, Hébert left the field in A1 and never looked back, taking the victory ahead of teammate Mike Blackstock. In the second A Main, Hébert again got a great start; however, a bobble dropped him back to fifth place at one point. Staying focused, and showing the determination of a champion, Hébert found his way back to the lead and distanced himself from the field to take his first ROAR Modified National Championship.
