Alien Racing has introduced a conversion kit for the Associated 12R5.1, featuring some of the same properties used on Ronald Volker’s car at this year’s European 1/12th Championship. This kit allows you to place the battery in longitudinal position, which helps the efficiency of the car in corners and reduce yaw when changing direction.

FTW Racing Components have introduced the Night Fox XL body shell, an extended version of its revolutionary Night Fox body shell designed to fit the Team Associated B4.1 when equipped with the longer T4.1 chassis. The Night Fox XL is the first production body shell designed to fit this chassis configuration. Night Fox XL is packaged with two wings, window masks, and a decal sheet.

Based on the parts used by Associated’s team drivers at Motorama, CRCRC Winter Midwest Nitro Champs and the IFMAR 1:8 Worlds in Thailand, these new team-tested and raced parts are now available to everyone and will substantially improve the performance of your RC8B. The new parts include a +3mm chassis, light front and rear outdrive, upgraded front and rear arms, a new lower B Plate with inserts, upgraded front and rear shock towers and aluminium steering posts. Available separately, there is a kit available that includes all the wishbones, shock towers, straight eyelets and fasteners. There is also an update rear swaybar kit for use with the updated rear lower suspension arms, that includes 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8mm wires, as well as all mounting parts. Available in June.
New from Mini-Z specialists Reflex Racing is their latest product line called RSD, which stands for Reflex Suspension Dynamics. RSD will focus on larger scale suspension parts and other accessories and they will start off with updates for the Team Associated TC6. The first TC6 parts are set to arrive in Mid May and they will include vertical ball stud bulkhead caps for the TC6. Much like the other popular TC’s out there, these shock tower mounts give you infinite roll center adjustments. You have the option of the extra long link or a second hole which makes the camber link slightly longer than the shock tower mounting positions. A Tuned Spring Set comes with the ideal spring rates for your AE TC6. With the advent of LiPo and Brushless, cars now have a lower polar movement inertia and softer spring rates are necessary. The advantage of these springs is that they were designed for the TC6. The size is perfect for the shocks and the rates are optimized for on track performance. Finally there are popular 1.0, 1.5mm pistons, machined out of delrin in order to allow smoother shock operation and of course ease of use, as no drilling or shaving must be done to these to make them work flawlessly. These pistons will work on any shock that uses a 10mm diameter piston with a 3mm shock shaft.
Associated have introduced their new high-torque slipper pad design with maximum surface area for more torque capacity. It allows for adjusting drive torque bias on the SC10 4×4 using the included decoupled slipper and is recommended by team drivers for the SC10 4×4 outer slipper pad (rear drive) for more rear drive out of corners and for jumps. Suitable for the SC10 4×4, SC10 FT, B4.1 FT, T4.1 FT, B44.1 FT and all older generations of SC10, B4, T4, B44.

Team Extreme have released details on yet another Vega Elite 2WD race conversions, this time for the Associated B4.1 buggy. As with the other conversions it features a CNC machined aerospace 7075 alloy tub chassis & gearbox, motorplate heat sink, rear shock tower, bodyshell and more. This exciting new conversion changes the weight distribution of the car, allowing it to jump more level & massively helps in-air control and powered landings. Testing has shown the conversion gives a new more positive feel to the car, allowing for a more aggressive driving style. New from the Factory Team for the B4.1 FT, SC10 FT, T4.1 FT, B44.1 FT and SC10 4×4 are these vented V2 slipper hubs. The vented fan pattern of 1.5mm holes allows for cooling and more consistent slipper performance and has been used by Ryan Cavalieri and Ryan Maifield at the 2011 Reedy Race of Champions and Cactus Classic events. Sold as a pair.
