Associated website gets a reboot

Our site sponsors Team Associated have launched their new web site, created to better meet the needs of their customers and the general RC community. The new version of the web site has been completely retooled from the ground up without losing any of its speed and reliability.

We’ve tuned it up with more videos and wallpapers, new visual design, more choices, easier navigation, tighter security—all performance hopups for a leaner and meaner site. We’ve added more action-packed videos of our kits and more choices of screen resolutions for wallpapers of your favorite Team Associated kits and RTRs. You’ll have more choices for printing, searching and finding the information you’re looking for. The tighter integration of Team Associated, Factory Team, Reedy, XP Digital, and LRP products will streamline your navigation. Tighter backend security will work hard to keep out today’s malicious Internet pests and keep you safe. We’ve been hard at work bolting on new features, such as integrating awesome product enlargements of our kit and RTR features, videos that automatically detect your bandwidth and play accordingly, and mini profiles of our partners and sponsored athletes.

Team Associated TC6 touring car

Having got the World Exclusive on the new TC6 at the World Championships in Burgdorf back in June, Team Associated have released full details on their new electric touring car chassis. Designed to take full advantage of all the latest technological advances made in 1:10 scale electronics, the TC6 has been optimized to use all of the benefits offered by brushless motor systems and LiPo batteries. The engineers behind the doors of Area 51 have been hard at work developing the TC6 to blend the best qualities of high performance and adjustability without sacrificing durability or ease of maintenance.

JConcepts Punisher B4.1 body

We’re a bit slow off the mark with this one but JConcepts’ all new Punisher B4.1 made its debut last weekend at the 2010 ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals in Joliet, IL. Used by factory driver Ryan Maifield, the body was completed just in time for the race and JConcepts decided to share these pre release photos with everyone.

Factory Team 2WD off road rear ballast weight

Team Associated have released these Factory Team 2WD off road rear ballast weight which fits the SC10 FT, B4.1 FT, T4.1 FT and SC10 2.4 GHz RTR. This 17 gram Zinc alloy cast weight helps give more rearward weight bias and mates with the #7487 arm mount for a completely captured fit with the chassis. Weight and mounts retrofit B4, T4, SC10 kits.

JConcepts Punisher for B44

JConcepts are showing a sneak preview of their all new Punisher shell for the Associated B44 buggy. Previously only available for 1/8th scale vehicles, this aggressive looking shell style will soon be available for 1/10th scale. Expect more information when it becomes available.

Exclusive – Associated TC6

With the 1/12th Worlds now over, focus has now switched to touring car and on today’s preperation day we sat down with Team Associated who gave us the scoop on their new TC6 chassis, that is making its international debut at this race. Retaining the same lower front and rear wishbones, C-hubs and rear uprights from the TC5, the rest of the car is different. A focus on LiPo and brushless the most noticable change is to the chassis which is very narrow and no longer sports battery slots.
