JConcepts SC6.1 street eliminator optionals

JConcepts have introduced new option parts for street eliminator converted Team Associated SC6.1 trucks in the form of a carbon fibre wheelie bar set and a carbon fibre shock tower. The wheelie bar kit contains carbon fibre rails, aluminium stand-offs, bearing holder and inner race support along with rubber sealed bearings and steel 3mm hardware. This assembly has been designed to work with a 3D printed part available separately from JConcepts’ Shapeways store. The #2714TD bulkhead skid for the wheelie bar is necessary to use existing SC6.1 parts along with the wheelie bar conversion parts to compete the assembly. The JConcepts item replaces #AE71125 which is part of the rear bumper assembly on the SC6.1. An accessory 3D printed net (2715TD) is additionally offered on the JConcepts Shapeways Store. The net is designed to work with conversion parts and can be purchased in white or black colours to match different builds and creations.

RDRP B6.1 black +5mm 7075 aluminium chassis

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced their new +5mm 7075 aluminium chassis for the ultra-popular Team Associated B6.1 2WD buggy. The main plate adds 5mm of length for an easier to drive car especially in high-bite track conditions such as carpet and astro turf, allowing to pull faster single laps while offering greater consistency over the whole run at the same time. In addition the chassis will also improve handling on bumpy surfaces where the main plate will ensure improved stability. The chassis is machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium for strength and optimised flex characteristics while the black anodised surface ensures high durability and factory looks. Machined silver edge details and laser-etched RDRP logos make the part stand out. The main plate fits the B6.1 and B6.1D kits and is usable with most “under servo” and “under electronics” weight kits.

RSD TC7.2 aluminium flex chassis

Reflex Racing have introduced the new RSD hard-anodised aluminium flex chassis for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. The chassis was developed to be used in conditions of high grip asphalt, hHot weather and low to medium bite carpet. The shape and design of the cut outs on the chassis allow it to flex considerably more than Team Associated’s alloy chassis along the centre and bulkheads and the hard anodising prevent the chassis from bending too easily. When used with the RSD Spec top deck the TC7.2 will flex even further than with the stock unit and make this chassis a viable alternative to carbon on asphalt under almost all conditions. The main plate is made in the USA from premium Thyssenkrupp alloys and locally anodised.

MIP Bypass1 1/8th AE & TLR shock pistons

MIP’s popular Bypass1 1/8th scale off-road shock pistons are soon also available in dedicated variants for Team Associated and TLR 1/8th off-road kits. Just like MIP’s Mugen-specific Bypass1 pistons, the AE and TLR spec pistons are fully customisable and allow to truly control the car’s rebound speed and performance. The pistons are also dyno-tuned to ensure they match the compression characteristics of the stock pistons. Featuring MIP colour-coded valves, the pistons combined together with the valves allow fully to control and maximise the car’s shocks performance based on which valves used. Thicker valves generate a slower rebound and thinner vales get quicker rebounds. Each set includes four pistons and a total of twelve valves, four of each hardness.

Exotek B6.1 2-colour alloy front camber mount

Coming from Exotek due to popular request is a 2-colour alloy front camber mount for the Team Associated B6.1 buggy. Fitting all B6, T6 and SC6 series kits the heavy duty 7075 alloy front bulkhead received Exotek’s popular 2-colour anodising treatment and it is intricately machined to reduce its weight to only 15g – which is only 4g more than stock.

Team Associated B74 Team Kit 4WD buggy

Following a couple of prototype images, Team Associated have introduced their all-new B74 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The off-road RC car racing scene has taken a turn over the past couple years, with turf and carpet racing becoming more popular and grip levels at an all-time high. The engineers inside Team Associated’s Area 51 were quick to address this trend in the 4WD class with the RC10B74 Team Kit. This completely new chassis design, equipped with a long list of features, is designed to give you the winning edge. Competition levels are more extreme than ever, with several manufacturers producing competitive racing platforms. The RC10B74 was designed with focus on performance and durability. New features like the easy-access, quick-change differential height make tuning for different track surfaces and ride heights quicker than ever. 7075-T6 aluminum bulkheads and arm mounts provide precision and durability, while the updated shocks with increased stroke length allow for more consistent jumping and landing. Also included, an all new rear hub assembly with a modular vertical ball stud mount and axle height insert system to allow the finest roll center adjustments possible. With many other new features, the RC10B74 Team Kit gives you all the performance and adjustability necessary to keep you racing at the front of the pack.

Team Associated FT 4-shoe adjustable clutch

Team Associated have introduced their new Factory Team 4-shoe clutch system for the RC8B3 series and most other 1/8th scale off-road buggies and truggies. After the 2016 1/8th scale World Championships, the AE engineers began working on an idea to make their clutch system more easily adaptable to changing track conditions. After months of prototyping and testing, they came up with a patent-pending design that gives racers the ability to adjust the tension of the clutch springs – without having to remove the clutch and change springs. In fact, the engine doesn’t even need to be removed from the chassis to make the adjustment. The adjustment is done with a single set screw that engages with a spring cam. By loosening or tightening a set screw in the flywheel, the spring cam rotates within the flywheel to adjust the tension on the springs. This means racers can make quick adjustments while in the pit lane.
