JConcepts RC8B3-series aluminium option parts

JConcepts have introduced new aluminium option parts for Team Associated’s 3rd generation 1/8th off-road kits such as the RC8B3 and RC8T3. First up is the suspension arm cap and camber shim set. It makes for an easier and quicker way to change chamber and track width shims on the the RC8B3, RC8B3e and RC8T3 vehicles. The shim set features individual slotted shims which lock to one another while the arm caps have been machined to slide on the upper and lower arms. To adjust, partially unthread the pivot-balls and slide shims in or out depending on required adjustment. Each set, available in blue or black colour, includes two caps, two 0.5, 1 and 2 degree shims which will either complete one side or either top or bottom. To complete the entire front suspension, two sets will be required per vehicle.

Avid B6/B6D Triad aluminium steering axles

Coming from Avid and made for the Team Associated B6-series of buggies are the Triad aluminium steering axles. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised and with machined silver details the unique Triad design axles give the car that stealthy look while also allowing to the narrow track width with the included 1mm shims. The axles weigh in at 2.8g per set and each package includes two aluminium axles and two hard-anodised shims.

RDRP RC8B3 titanium pivot balls

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced a set of titanium pivot balls for the Team Associated RC8B3 buggy. Made from high-quality material the titanium pivot balls scrub a good amount of weight compared to the kit’s steel parts while also being much less prone to corrode and wear, making them virtually a fit and forget. The titanium pivot balls are compatible to all 3rd generation RC8 kits including the RC8B, RC8B3e, RC8T3 and RC8T3e.

ProStar Wing Arms for AE, Mugen & SWorkz buggies

Coming from ProStar R/C and available for many 1/8th buggies with pivot ball front suspension are the front Wing Arms. The unique front upper arms are designed to match the buggy’s stock geometry but they can utilise a 3-D-printed wing element to improve downforce on large high-speed tracks. The front arms are made using a strong and durable carbon nylon mix and the sets are available for the Mugen MBX7, RC8B3 and SWorkz S35 buggies. Custom colours are available to match the front wings with the body’s paintjob.

Team Associated enter Formula racing with the RC10F6

Team Associated have released their long awaited entry into the 1:10 scale 2WD electric formula racing class with the RC10F6 Factory Team Kit. With a full cast of setting options, an ultra-low centre of mass, and sleek styling, the F6 is designed to put you at the front of the Formula grid. All aspects were considered and optimised to make sure it would stand above its competition. From front to back, with graphite control arms, the fully adjustable front end, the ultra-smooth rear pivot, and wings styled after current full-scale Formula rulings, no corner was left untouched.

JConcepts B6 rear ball stud mount & F2 body mount

JConcepts have introduced two new option parts for the Team Associated B6 series of buggies in the form of an aluminium rear ball stud mount and a 3-D-printed F2 body mount flange. Starting with the ball stud mount, the part is extra beefy to withstand the tremendous amount of stress in today’s racing atmosphere. The durability in this mounting area has been put to the test with difficult race circuits and especially with the introduction of the 6th generation of Team Associated buggies. JConcepts has added thickness around the screw mounting holes, thickened the main connection U-brace and for twisting and bending resistance and added a thick rib from the main body to the screw location boss. The mount comes in blue or black anodising and it is decorated with laser-etched JC logos.

Team Associated T4.3 Ready-to-Run kits

Team Associated’s “near vintage” T4 2WD stadium truck is now available in the T4.3 variant and with RTR specification. The fully assembled truck features a new Team Associated 2.4Ghz radio system as well as an all new metal-gear, high-torque Reedy digital servo. Power is supplied by a Reedy 3300kV brushless motor while the water-resistant, high-power, 3S LiPo-capable Reedy electronic speed control with T-Plug and LiPo low-voltage cutoff provides smooth throttle control. Revised suspension arms provide additional durability and longer wear for everything from backyard bashing to head-to-head racing. The truck is available as RTR package without charger and battery and also as RTR LiPo Combo including a compact balance charger and LiPo battery pack.

JConcepts F2 bodyshell for B6 & B6D

Coming from JConcepts is the F2 buggy bodyshell for the Team Associated B6 and B6D. Based off of the original Finnisher body, the F2 is a drop fit for the popular B6-series buggy with cut-lines being included on each side of the body to accommodate stand-up 3 or 4 gear and lay-down transmission layouts, giving all out versatility. With the evolution of race tracks, complicated circuits combining more aggressive jumps and extremely high-speed corners, JConcepts incorporated many features which provide several benefits in the most critical situations. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps. Forward cab placement changes performance/visible bias which help steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have been simplified and JC-chamfered to remove unwanted changes in height to neutralise the at-speed handling. The front of the pods have a dual step, scoop treatment which give a first in class look to the F2 body. The rear of the cab has the Finnisher step feature which allows the placement of a secondary side window and also several louver options off the rear which can be trimmed to allow air to escape at the top of the body. In addition to the newly designed body, JConcepts has included two of the latest Aero rear wings used by Ryan Cavalieri, Ryan Maifield and Spencer Rivkin to a 1st, 2nd and 4th place finish at the recent 2017 Reedy Race of Champions.
