MIP Pucks Drive System & alloy B4 C-CVD shafts

MIP Pucks Drive System & alloy C-CVD shafts

MIP introduce new option parts for the TLR SCTE truck and the Team Associated B4 buggy. Starting with the SCTE part, new are the MIP Puck Drive System centre driveshafts that reduce the running noise of TLR’s 4WD SC truck. The set contains two 7075-T6 aluminium C-CVD centre driveshafts, centre input hubs and special pucks that make for a wobble free fit of the shafts in the input hubs. Taking half the weight out of the drive system the set improves acceleration and braking performance and the design significantly reduces the running noise due to zero backlash. The parts are a direct replacement for the stock TLR shafts and come including hardware for a drop-in fit.

MIP SCTE 2.0 Super Diff rebuild kit

MIP SCTE 2.0 Super Diff rebuild kit

MIP introduce the Super Diff rebuild kit for the TLR SCTE 2.0 and MIP Pro4mance converted SCTE trucks. The set fits all trucks that make use of the TLR332001 diff case, it can increases diff life by more than five times and includes lightweight, hard-anodised 7075 aluminium crosspins, hardened steel pin supports and hardened steel, stamped washers. The materials will increase durability and lower friction between parts to provide increased performance by lowering the overall rotation mass.

MIP Pro4mance SCTE 2.0 rigid chassis braces

MIP Pro4mance SCTE 2.0 rigid chassis braces

MIP introduce the Pro4mance rigid chassis braces for the TLR SCTE 2.0 short course truck. They are made from 7075 aluminium and designed to improve chassis stiffness significantly. The bolt-in braces also do not wear out as the standard plastic parts do, for longer durability and a predictable chassis setup. Included with the set, that fits both the standard TLR SCTE 2.0 and MIP Pro4mance converted SCTE trucks, comes all needed mounting hardware.

Team Losi Racing 4WD buggy spotted

Team Losi Racing 4WD buggy spotted

It has been rumoured for a long time and now LiveRC shot some exclusive photos of the mysterious ‘next generation’ Team Losi Racing 4WD buggy. Only one day after the ROAR 1/10th off-road nationals at the Silver Dollar Raceway TLR came there for their own version of a pre-worlds testing with what appears to be a XX-4 “2.0”. Looking at the pictures it appears that the designers kept most of the iconic XX-4’s design elements such as the suspension geometry, weight distribution and (3?) belt drivetrain. On some of the photos it looks like the 4WD prototype sports the same front motor/front main gear setup as Team Losi’s first 4WD buggy two decades ago. The now aluminium chassis is designed along the “4’s” outer shape and even the suspension geometry with the somewhat widely spaced shocks and the front ‘reverse’ steering knuckle/hub construction can be found in the new buggy but the suspension and bulkhead parts sport a modern look as known from the current 22 line of buggies and trucks. We do not have any other information on the car that is believed to make a first public appearance at the World in September but we keep you posted.

TLR 8ight-series starter box

TLR 8ight-series starter box

The Team Losi Racing starter box for 8ight series vehicles is engineered and designed by Team Losi Racing to be the perfect starting tool for the 8ight and 8ight-T series of vehicles – from the current version 3.0 and 2.0 kits down to the original 8ight buggy. Unlike conventional starters, the starter box does not require positioning pegs, eliminating the need for measuring or major assembly. It features a powerful 775-size motor, adjustable positioning mounts, is compatible with NiXX and LiXX battery packs and comes with an optimised rubber starter wheel for improved contact with the engine flywheel.

TLR 22 2.0 cab forward body shell & wing set

TLR 22 2.0 cab forward body shell & wing set

Coming late September is Team Losi Racing’s 22 2.0 cab forward body shell. Seen for the first time at the recent Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout the newly designed shell sports a very wide and highly angled windscreen and a long roof section that ends in a low shark fin and raised rear area, again with fins to bundle the air towards the new rear wing. The body is designed for the use with the new TLR 22 2.0 and offers more room around the battery section. As usual it comes clear, with window masks and a new heavy-duty rear wing.

TLR 22 V2.0 2WD buggy kit

TLR 22 V2.0 2WD buggy kit

Horizon Hobby introduce the new Team Losi Racing 22 V2.0 kit. The buggy builds on the known 22 platform and includes many new features such as a revised front suspension geometry for better corner-entry speed and optimised weight distribution for improved rear traction. Updated shock absorbers with new shock caps and a redesigned ball differential with carbide diff and thrust balls, larger diff rings and a 1-piece nut further assist with acceleration. Included in the kit is also an array of option parts such as an aluminium front bulkhead, rear aluminium camber plate, rear clamp-type hex adapters, aluminium suspension spacers, as well “clip-less” threaded hinge pins and new shock shafts, all of them coming with a new coating to reduce friction.
