Mike Truhe spotted testing new Powerplant

We have received word out of California that former ROAR National Champion Mike Truhe was recently spotted testing a new power plant in his Losi buggy. The new motor was seen being used in his 8ight chassis and is a departure from the usual Alpha unit that the Team Orion driver normally uses, for starters sporting a black cooling head in place of the familiar red unit. The test was part of Mike’s preparations for this week’s Nitrocross race in Arizona where our source believes he will debut the new engine. Having lost their previous GRP engine tie up, when the Italian company ceased production earlier this year, this new motor could be the result of a bigger plan by US company Horizon Hobby, who own Losi, to once again link up with a major competition engine manufacturer. We will keep you informed as we know more.

Losi Covered 17mm Wheel nuts

Team Losi have released 4 new sets of 17mm aluminium covered wheel nuts, which are now available for 8ight 2.0 buggies, 8ight-T 2.0 truggies and the LST XXL monster truck. These wheel nuts will also fit any other 1/8-scale off-road buggy or truggy that uses a traditional 17mm wheel nut/axle design. The covered design of the wheel nuts eliminates dirt from getting into the axle and are available in aluminium, red, black or blue.

Losi DLM2 Rubber dirt oval racing tires

New from Losi for their 1/8-scale L8ight dirt oval racer are these low profile DLM2 rubber dirt oval racing tires that provide the traction needed for oval racing, and meet the proposed ‘Spec’ racing rules. The tires come mounted on white 1/8 buggy dish wheels, include a precision foam inner liner, and will fit all 1/8-scale vehicles with 17 mm hexes.

Sporting 5 air inlet points for extreme airflow, it has one large outlet so air flow is at a constant. Made from .040 extremely durable Lexan material it is supplied with window mask and Pro-Line decal sheet.

Losi 1/36 Micro High roller RTR

Losi have released their new 1/36 micro high roller RTR, which offers scale appearance and style and also has the ability to conquer terrain that would normally be impassable by most RC vehicles its size. Answer-RC 8ight Lightweight Spring holders

Answer-RC have released these CNC machined shock spring holders suitable for all members of the Losi 8ight family including 1.0, 2.0, B and T. These new items utilise a longer spring holder to give a more reliable and safer position on the shock and are specially drilled to maintain a minimum weight with each piece weighing only 3g. Sold in a packet of 4.
