Team Orion .21 V2 nitro engines

Team Orion .21 V2 nitro engines

Team Orion have two new .21 nitro competition engines for off-road and on-road applications available. Starting with the buggy engine, R21 Racing Team V2 is the evolution of the popular buggy 3-port racing team and it received some subtle updates such as a black-coated 60mm diameter cooling head for improved heat dissipation and lower running temperatures. Also new is a redesigned piston that leads to a higher RPM range. The case is black coated for a better heat dissipation and the head now features a 60mm diameter, same as the company’s factory versions for a lower running temp and increased mileage while a newly designed piston ensures higher revs.

Team Orion Vortex VST2 Pro XLW brushless motors

Team Orion Vortex VST2 Pro XLW brushless motors

Team Orion have introduced the Vortex VST2 Pro XLW electric brushless motors. They are based off of the successful VST2 Pro motors and feature a smaller outer diameter of only 34mm which, combined with repositioned mounting holes, allows to mount the motor lower in the chassis for a lower centre of gravity and thus faster cornering. High-quality stator material and a high efficiency design makes them as powerful as standard diameter motors, making them ideal for virtually all 1/10th classes. The motors will become available as 4.5T to 9.5T modified and 10.5T to 21.5T stock variants.

Team Orion have introduced their all-new dDrive 2-in-1 brushless power unit for 1/10th scale on-road and off-road vehicles. The revolutionary system combines a highly efficient and very powerful 4-pole brushless motor and a brushless controller in one simple to use package. Coming from the mind of Oscar Jansen the unit is used in place for the usual motor and is very easy to setup while the integrated system uses only a minimal amount of wires for improved reliability and less hassle especially for beginners. The integrated controller offers three different drive modes, user-adjustable performance settings, overheat protection and low-voltage cut-off while the 4-pole motor is housed in an aluminium heatsink can. The 58mm long unit is splash-proof, it comes pre-wired with a T-type connector and it is available as 2700kv and 3000kv variant.
