Tekno RC Blok 21aM & 21aP nitro buggy engines

Tekno RC have introduced their all-new Block nitro off-road engines. The BLOK 21aM was designed with optimal fuel mileage in mind for 1/8th buggies, while the 21aP is all about power and is well suited for any 1/8th application but especially the heavier truggies. Both engines are made in Japan and they feature the same long stroke piston and sleeve design, DLC coated crankshaft, three needle carburettor and efficient cooling head with the 21aM including 6mm and 6.5mm venturis while the 21aP comes with 6.5mm and 7.0mm carburettor inserts. Pre-release engines without manual and box are available now, and the properly packaged power plants including box, manual and stickers will become available around mid-March.

Tekno RC welcome Ricardo Monteiro

Tekno RC have announced the signing of Portugal’s Ricardo Monteiro to their factory team. Ricardo’s experience and talent will be a great asset to their expanding European team as well as Tekno RC racers in the EU region. His first race for his new sponsor will be the Oleiros Trophy race in February and he had the following to say:

When the opportunity came to work with Tekno, I knew I had to take it into consideration. The quality of the cars plus the people that I would work with made for an easier decision. I would like to thank Ilias Arkoudaris, Daniel Lewis and all the guys involved, I believe we will have an awesome partnership together. I am already working hard getting to know the products and will be at the tracks soon with the new cars, they are awesome!

Tekno NB48.4 1/8th nitro buggy kit

Following the introduction of the EB48.4 a few weeks back, Tekno now also revealed the revamped NB48 platform. The latest .4 kit features a new CNC-machined 7075 aluminium chassis with improved wear characteristics, a revised steering geometry and Ackermann plate, a bearing supported spindle and carrier design, a revised wide rear pivot suspension geometry as well as new universal driveshafts for a more efficient drivetrain. Other changes include CNC-machined 4×1.9mm flat/flat delrin pistons and rod guides, aluminium bleeder shock caps to allow building emulsion, vented and non-vented shocks as well as new low-frequency shock springs and a fighter yet inspired bodyshell.

Tekno aluminium shock caps & shock standoffs

Tekno RC have announced the release of two new products for their line of 1/8th and 1/10th vehicles. First up are black anodised aluminium shock caps made from 7075 material. They allow the use of any build style – emulsion/vented/standard – in order to fine-tune the damping characteristics to any track surface. The included left and right side shock caps allow the cap screw to face toward the inside of the vehicle and the bleeder hole to face the rear, away from incoming dirt and dust. The package includes one left and one right side shock cap, two emulsion O-rings, two emulsion cap screws and two small cap screw O-rings. The O-rings are also available separately as spares.

Alex Zanchettin teams up with Tekno RC

Tekno RC have announced the addition of Italy’s Alex Zanchettin to their factory team. Alex’s experience and talent will be a great asset to Tekno’s expanding European team as well as Tekno RC racers in the EU region. His first race will be the Italian Job at IBR Padova, Italy this coming weekend and the former TLR driver had the following to say about the deal:

I would like to thank Daniel Lewis, Ilias Arkoudaris and all Team Tekno for giving me the opportunity to join the team. I’m very excited to get started with all of the new products, and I’m sure we will have many successful years together. I already feel very welcome in the team and I’m looking forward to working with everybody. See you all at the track!

Tekno RC bearing sleeve set

Tekno RC have introduced a bearing sleeve set for 8x14x4mm ball races. These bearing sleeves will save 1.3g of rotating mass per bearing meaning outfitted on all three differentials on a typical 1/8th vehicle, they are saving 7.8g of precious weight. The bearing sleeves are compatible anywhere an 8x16x5mm bearing is used, however, Tekno mostly recommend them for differentials.  The set included six bearing sleeves and it is available now.

Tekno EB48.4 1/8th E-buggy kit

Tekno RC have announced the soon release of the EB48.4 1/8th electric buggy kit. The kit features a number of refinements such as an updated 7075 chassis with improved wear characteristics. Also new to the .4 is a revised steering geometry with a new Ackermann plate, updated ballcranks and redesigned, bearing-supported spindles and spindle carriers as well as double-nutted outer hinge pins. The damper geometry remains the same on the .4 compared to the .3 but the new front end is finished off by new A and B blocks with 2.5mm hex cap screw for easier diff access.

Tekno MT410 1/10th 4x4 Pro Monster Truck kit

Tekno RC have announced the newest addition to their line up of off-road vehicles in the form of the MT410 1/10th electric 4×4 Pro Monster Truck kit. It is based on the proven ET48 platform that is raced at the highest levels of competition. The vehicle features a shaft drivetrain, long travel suspension and it is able to accommodate many electronics, tires and bodies from popular monster trucks as a direct fit. Parts and upgrades are readily available since the MT410 shares parts with the ET48, EB48, and other Tekno RC vehicles. The kit is available from now on.
