Ryan Lutz signs for Tekno RC

Tekno RC have announced the signing of former Durango star Ryan Lutz to their factory team. ‘Ryan will run the full range of Tekno RC vehicles and compete in dozens of events all over the world in the coming years. He will also assist with development on upcoming projects and vehicles as they expand their reach in the hobby. Tekno RC’s commitment to bring the best RC vehicles to market is unwavering, and Ryan’s addition to our team will solidify our position as a top contender for years to come.’

We are ecstatic to add Ryan to the team. He’s the hardest working driver in RC, the fan favorite, always smiling, incredibly helpful off the track, the world’s #1 turn marshal, and of course, one of the most skilled drivers that RC has witnessed.

Tekno RC SCT410 stub axles & serrated wheel nuts

Tekno RC SCT410 stub axles & serrated wheel nuts

New from Tekno RC and made for the SCT410 are M5 thread stub axles and matching serrated wheel nuts. Pro 4 SC vehicles have a lot of power and the 12mm wheel hexes that are used can strip easily if the wheel becomes loose. This results in wasted wheels and tyres and so Tekno RC have equipped the new stub axles with a large M5 thread in order to use a larger M5 serrated nut that will not come loose. This makes for a far more durable stub axle, fewer stripped nuts and less tyre waste due to wheels coming loose. The axles are of a hardened steel construction and come black oxide coated for hard wearing characteristics. The matching wheel nuts are made from black anodised aluminium, they offer a serrated back to ensure the wheels stay on and they come in sets of four nuts.

With that being said, I am very excited to join the Tekno team for the 2015 season. I am confident that with the help of the entire team, we will be able to accomplish some big things over the course of the next year. I would like to thank Daniel Lewis and Matt Wolter for giving me this opportunity, along with a special thanks to teammates Jeff Beck and Sean Ramos for helping me through the process of making this switch.

Tekno LRC adjustable hinge pin brace

Tekno LRC adjustable hinge pin brace

After extensive testing Tekno RC introduce this rear hinge pin brace in low roll centre configuration to improve traction and stability in all conditions. The new brace allows vehicles to square up better coming out of corners and provides easier on-off-power transitions and it is compatible with all of Tekno’s 1/8th scale vehicles as well as the SCT410. CNC manufactured from 7075 aluminium and coming gun metal anodised the brace lowers the roll centre by 1.0mm and it gives an additional 1.0 degree of rear toe-in compared to the stock part for the option of running 2.5 to 4.5 degrees of rear toe-in.

New from Tekno RC comes this lightened low centre of gravity motor mount insert for the SCT410 4WD short course truck and the EB48-SL buggy. Using the part lowers the motor by 5mm and it is usable with all Pro4 motors with standard 36mm diameter. Lowering one of the heaviest parts of the vehicle by 5mm will have a noticeable effect on handling, resulting in faster cornering and less mistakes due to traction rolling. The part is CNC machined out of 7075 aluminium, then gun metal anodised for wear.
