Joe Bornhorst teams up with Tekno

Joe Bornhorst teams up with Tekno

Tekno RC announce that Joe Bornhorst will be joining their race team for the remainder of 2014 and the 2015 racing season. Joe has been making a name for himself all over the U.S. in the 1/8th off-road racing classes and will be travelling to many races representing Tekno RC in the future. Joe had this to say about the deal:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Serpent America/Desoto Racing for all of their support that they have given me over the past couple of years. With that being said, I am very excited to join the Tekno team for the 2015 season. I am confident that with the help of the entire team, we will be able to accomplish some big things over the course of the next year. I would like to thank Daniel Lewis and Matt Wolter for giving me this opportunity, along with a special thanks to teammates Jeff Beck and Sean Ramos for helping me through the process of making this switch.

Tekno LRC adjustable hinge pin brace

Tekno LRC adjustable hinge pin brace

After extensive testing Tekno RC introduce this rear hinge pin brace in low roll centre configuration to improve traction and stability in all conditions. The new brace allows vehicles to square up better coming out of corners and provides easier on-off-power transitions and it is compatible with all of Tekno’s 1/8th scale vehicles as well as the SCT410. CNC manufactured from 7075 aluminium and coming gun metal anodised the brace lowers the roll centre by 1.0mm and it gives an additional 1.0 degree of rear toe-in compared to the stock part for the option of running 2.5 to 4.5 degrees of rear toe-in.

Tekno SCT410 LCG lightened motor mount insert

Tekno SCT410 LCG lightened motor mount insert

New from Tekno RC comes this lightened low centre of gravity motor mount insert for the SCT410 4WD short course truck and the EB48-SL buggy. Using the part lowers the motor by 5mm and it is usable with all Pro4 motors with standard 36mm diameter. Lowering one of the heaviest parts of the vehicle by 5mm will have a noticeable effect on handling, resulting in faster cornering and less mistakes due to traction rolling. The part is CNC machined out of 7075 aluminium, then gun metal anodised for wear.
