Pro-Line ProTrac suspension kit for Slash 4×4

Pro-Line’s new ProTrac Suspension kit for the Slash 4×4 is an easy to install kit that greatly increases forward acceleration, corner speed, consistency and drivability. Pro-Line revolutionized the 2WD Slash with the original ProTrac Suspension kit and now the same advantages are available for your Slash 4×4. The kit includes longer Front and Rear suspension arms for improved handling, ProTrac wheels that bring the truck back to Stock ROAR Legal width and new longer turnbuckles. The ProTrac arms not only look tricker than the stock arms, but they are beefier and have more suspension adjustment holes so you can dial in the truck to your track. Also, Pro-Line’s ProTrac wheels have become the standard in the 4×4 SC class with the SC10 4×4 and SCTE 4×4 both capable of running ProTrac wheels.

Toy Fair 2012 – Various

Pro-Line are present at the Hoeco stand and have on display their new Bulldog body shells for the Durango DEX210 and DEX410. Used by factory driver Hupo Honigl at the recent Reedy Invitational race, the cab forward design offers racers a stylish and high performance new body option for both cars. Also seen on the Hoeco stand is the Volksmotor that we wrote about last week, a 9 port Novarossi on road .21 engine with a sub 200 euro price.

STRC Traxxas 2WD green anodised aluminium parts

ST Racing Concepts introduce the green anodised aluminium parts series for the Traxxas 2WD Short Course truck. These parts will certainly be a hit for those wanting to hop-up their favourite energy drink theme short course truck or add some durability and great looks to their machine. Available are steering knuckles, front caster blocks, rear hub carriers, steering bellcranks, front bulkhead, shock caps, front and rear skid plate as well as lock-pin hex adapters. Most of the parts fit the Traxxas Monster Jam replicas also.

Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus AC/DC charger

The Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus is a 6-amp, fully-programmable, AC/DC charger designed for fast and easy charging of LiPo, LiFe, LiIon, NiMH, NiCd, and even lead-acid battery packs. Sophisticated peak-detection technology with Fast Charge, Balance Charge and Storage modes assure peak performance from high-performance lithium batteries. A large, backlit LCD screen and simple four-button interface makes it easy to select charge modes and program the EZ-Peak Plus. Five Charge Profiles customized for Traxxas NiMH and LiPo packs are pre-installed, and can be edited to suit individual needs and preferences. Traxxas XO-1 1/7th scale 100+mph RTR supercar

With some hype building around the new X release from Traxxas, the Dallas based company have introduced the 1/7th scale XO-1, a car they claim is the fastest RTR available. At speeds of 0-60mph in 2.3 seconds and 0-100mph in 4.92 seconds they might be right. Traxxas partnered with Castle Creations to develop the Mamba Monster Extreme power system specifically for the unique power requirements of the XO-1. The proven Mamba Monster Extreme System has been enhanced for higher output when used with 6S LiPo power. From its integrated capacitor bank to the proprietary software created just for XO-1, the Mamba Monster Extreme speed control represents the state-of-the-art in big-volt power delivery. The custom Traxxas Big Block brushless motor invites “cubic inches” to the party for massive acceleration and true supercar performance with the largest brushless motor ever offered in a Ready-To-Race model.

JConcepts Rustler over-tray

When racing or bashing on a loamy or top soil track surface the inside of the Rustler chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the JConcepts over-tray these worries are minimized with the simple and functional over-tray. Fitting nicely under the body it hugs the outside dimension of the Rustler chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing conditions. By minimizing resting surface area the void and protrusion free design is all about performance.

STRC Slash 4×4 options

ST Racing Concepts have produced this high quality graphite motor mount plate and electronics plate to help reduce the weight on your Slash 4×4, while adding that trick factory look to your truck. Their new precision CNC machined rear hub carriers add an extra 0.5 deg. toe-in over the stock plastic hub carriers for a little extra rear traction and stability. These hubs also features their new manufacturing process that drills the bearing holes after anodizing, which allow the tightest tolerance possible around the bearing area. Available in blue, gun metal, red and silver anodizing.
