JConcepts have introduced a number of new items including new bodies for the Hot Bodies D8T and Traxxas 1/16th Slash. First up is the new Punisher body for the D8T which they claim to be is the meanest, nastiest thing out for 1/8th truck racing. Beginning with the newly re-designed grill and headlight treatment, the Punisher stares you down like a trained fighter. The hood and cab treatment are amongst the lowest in class giving the Punisher top notch performance. The bed area represents the latest offering for 1/8th truck racing featuring a super low profile design for increased engine cooling, air flow and escape. Traxxas have announced the new Slash 4×4, the follow up to their very popular class defining 2wd Short Course truck. Supplied with a super efficient shaft drive, new race bred suspension, new steering system, new licensed BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, Revo sealed differentials, Velineon brushless power and a TQ 2.4Ghz radio system it claims a top speed of 40+mph with the included 3000mAh 7-cell battery pack and they claim that if you drop the Mamba Monster into it, it will top 80+mph. The chassis is made from a single ultra rigid piece of strategically ribbed plastic that can easily resist flexing caused by the high torque brushless motor powering the new ultra efficient 4wd drivetrain. For looks the car comes in 4 different race replica bodies including the no. 47 and 25 Traxxas race trucks of Mike and Mark Jenkins as well as the Scott Douglas/Mark Oberg Amsoil edition and Jerry Welchel edition.

New for the Traxxas Slash, the BAJR as it is named, is concept inspired from the ground up to be the ultimate in desert and off-road looks and performance. The BAJR is a fresh design, starting from the front of the vehicle, the super narrow and tucked front quarter panel treatment creates one of the slickest Illuzionized looks around. The round Baja-esque profile of the cab area gives that familiar desert appearance. As the design develops toward the rear, the pronounced roof scoop, and proceeding cut-out and escape area makes this body unmistakably JConcepts.
