What started as what appeared to be “just another” racing class turns into a new hot trend as it seems: the four letters “CORR” (Championship Off Road Racing) take the RC-Car racing scene by storm and once again it was Traxxas that started it all. This time with the help of the Slash called 2WD racing truck. How will it perform in the European winter?
Traxxas had the honour of having the most technology built into one small car with their Summit. This off road basher is powered by a 775 10 turn motor, with space for up to 2 battery packs, and so in normal mode is super quick. Take it off road, and using a switch on the transmitter, it uses a number of its 5 servos to lock the front and rear differential and so can be instantly transformed into a crawler. There were many open mouths at the stand upon seeing this.
From Traxxas, with an aggressive new look, the 2wd Nitro Sport is the easiest & most affordable way to get into nitro power with a full-featured, high-performance RTR model. Factory assembled it includes their EZ-Start push-button electric engine starting system, which gets you running just minutes out of the box. The supplied TRX Pro.15 engine delivers proven power and reliability, and features a precision two-needle carburetor that delivers high output over a wide range of conditions. The wide tuning latitude makes this motor very forgiving so it stays running and idles smoothly as you learn how to perfect the tune and optimize the performance.

New from ST Racing Concepts for the Traxxas Slash are a range of machined aluminium parts to improve the performance & looks of your car. First up is this new Pro Racing CNC machined aluminium battery strap, which adds more strength and battery position adjustability to your Traxxas Slash. Also new for the Slash, are new shock bodies and shock caps, that improve the smoothness and performance of the shocks. Featuring an upper cap o-ring to provide a better seal, the lower shock body area has been redesigned to better accommodate the stock Traxxas O-ring and plastic sleeve for the smoothest shock operation. For the tires on your Slash & Slayer, there are these new machined aluminum beadlocks that offer a big weight savings over the standard steel versions. Finally STRC have released a lightweight wrench that features a 4mm turnbuckle on one end with a 5mm version on the opposite side. All products are available in various different colours.

Anyone who has ever watch CORR series racing knows that the cars tend to look rather 2nd hand after some close racing. Pro-Line have recognized this and have released a World’s first, an RC body with breakaway panels. The Carnage Desert Rat is the usual good looking offering from Pro-Line but the front and rear fenders can come off when impacted, adding to the scale realism. Simply install the included 3M® lock material and your ready to rumble again, and again, and again. We recently wrote about the new JConcepts Truth shell for the Traxxas Slash, now the Florida based company has released 2 body wraps for the same body. As well as a red coloured wrap JConcepts has teamed up with the apparel wizards at Good Run Gear to offer an officially licensed GRG off-road truck body wrap.
