Kinwald, LeMieux & Dieter return to Team Trinity

RC Car Action have the scoop that Team Trinity have announced the return of on-road pro Paul LeMieux, horsepower guru Jim Dieter, and the legendary Dirtinator, Brian Kinwald. Brian made his name as one of off-road racing’s all-time greatest drivers while Trinity powered, and his return marks a highly anticipated comeback for the superstar. With multiple national wins, a World Championship title and five consecutive “Readers’ Choice Awards” for favorite driver, Brian is the man to watch in off-road for 2008. Team mate Paul LeMieux, considered by many to be the best on-road racer in the world, brings the heat with a long string of victories that includes the Novak Champs, ROAR Nats, Snowbirds, and the International Indoor Champs. Both drivers will benefit from the inestimable skills and experience of veteran motor man Jim Dieter, who has tuned the winning motors of too many drivers to count and helped develop some of Trinity’s most popular powerplants.

Trinity Li-Pro Battery Pack

Trinity has made available the same Li-Pro battery pack that powers its new NOW brushless truggy available for use in other electric vehicles like the Associated RC-18T.  The Lithium Polymer technology of the Li-Pro battery pack makes for a longer running battery at a lighter weight than possible with Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries. The Li-Pro battery pack comes with a Tamiya style power connector and a separate charging plug for use with balance chargers.

Trinity have announced the release of these new EP4600 matched cells, which are available in a number of configurations and come assembled or loose. The EP cells are a more robust cell which excels with its actual on track performance and is designed to not fall apart under high amp loads seen during actual racing conditions. Our team racers who tried them say they out perform the numbers on the track and last more than a couple of chargers like some other batteries.

Trinity Duo brushless motor heatsinks

Trinity have released these new hard anodized aluminum heatsink for the most popular brushless motors. Installed in minutes the heatsink replaces the can center for more cooling surface and better heat transfer which improves performance by reducing motor heat. This system, which is more efficient than clip on heatsinks, wont fall off in the event of a crash and is available in 2 sizes, one ROAR/IFMAR size (right) for on road and off-road racing and one Monster truck size (left) which offers higher cooling for monster trucks and any non-sanctioned racing both on and off-road.

Trinity have releasd this pair of aluminium rear hub carriers for the Team Losi 8ight and 8ight-T. Extensively tested by Losi drivers, especially Adam Drake, these anodised hubs are a much stronger alternative to the standard parts and are a simple direct replacement. Available soon.

More news from Trinity, this time its the release of their new ‘Phatt’ cooling head that we showed you a ‘spy shot‘ from last week. Machined from billet aluminum, this large cooling head is suitable for the Drake Platinum, Picco and OS .21 racing engines and is used by Adam Drake and the rest of the Trinity Nitro Team. Due to its design and construction, the cooling head works more efficiently at lowering the engine temperature compared to standard heads.

Trinity Balanced Charger for LiPo Packs

Trinity have released a new balanced charger for use with your 2 and 3 cell Li-Po hobby battery packs. Operated using AC mains supply, this balance charger monitors and charges each cell individually so there is no possibility of one of the cells being overcharged. Simple to operate, just plug it in and it can charge 2 cells (7.4 volts) or 3 cells (11.1 volt) at 0.75A.
