Venom Pro Charger Ultimate & Easy Balance LiPo charger

Venom have released two new chargers, the first this Pro Charger Ultimate which represents the next generation of high power battery charging in RC. Capable of charging up to 10 amps and discharging at 5 amps, it is built to withstand today’s high power systems. The Charger will charge all types of batteries, including LiPO, LiFe, Li-Ion, NiCD, NiMH, and Lead Acid batteries. Additionally, it has a 5V 1amp USB output for charging devices that use a USB style charger. The sealed touch panel display eliminates unwanted dirt and debris from interfering with button function. The 2nd release is the Easy Balance LiPo charger which was developed with high performance, low cost, and ease of use in mind. Simple turn of the knob current adjustment is all you need to be ready to charge your 2-4 cell Lithium Polymer battery pack. The included AC wall adapter gives you the convenience of charging at home without buying another power supply.

The new Venom Sport Charge AC NiMH battery charger is a peak detection charger that allows you to quickly and safely charge your NiMH battery packs. The charger can charge 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 cell NiMH battery packs at a user selectable 1, 2 or 4 amps. The Venom Sport Charge includes a built-in power supply and is UL approved. The new AA/AAA Speed charger is the latest addition to the charger line up offered by Venom. This micro processor controlled charger automatically peak charges each cell individually. It will charge both NiCd and NiMh cells and features a temperature sensor in case of an overheating cell, a maximum charge timer and short circuit protection.

Venom have introduced their new LiFe-Power line of LiFe receiver and hard case batteries. They offer many advantages over their Lipo counterparts including 4X the useable cycles, no low voltage cutoff and higher charge rates. As a receiver battery, there is no need for a regulator due to the lower nominal voltage compared to a LiPo. The hard case packs are perfect for most 1/10th scale vehicles. 1/12th scale racers will love the 3600mAh single cell hard case for its power and lightweight.

Rick McCrery TQs and wins SC at Hank Perry 240

Running a pre-production prototype of the Gambler SC truck, Venom’s own Rick McCrery took TQ and 1st Place in the Short Course Truck class at the annual Hank Perry 240 in Spokane, Washington. The 3-day race weekend saw a total of 265 entries across 9 classes and the popular Short Course Class had enough entries for a D Main. Despite tricky weather conditions and rain delays that only allowed for two qualifying heats, the Gambler proved that it’s up to speed against other manufacturers’ platforms by taking the top qualifying position, the win and fastest lap. The Venom Gambler will be released to the public later this summer.
