Blaze Racing T4 alloy chassis & brass arm mount

Blaze Racing T4 alloy chassis & brass arm mount

Polish company Blaze Racing has introduced an aluminium main chassis plate for the Xray T4 as well as a brass front arm mount. Starting with the chassis, the part is cut from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium and it features angled cut-outs in the battery and electronics area to improve torsional flex compared to the usual full-surface chassis. This can help to gain traction and cornerspeed especially in medium-grip conditions. The chassis comes in natural colour but further customisation with anodising or engravings are possible. The second new part is the brass front arm mount. The FF part is designed to work with the original composite suspension inserts and it is a welcomed tuning option for medium-high to high traction conditions. Both parts will become available very soon.

XrayXB4CentreDriveshaft82mm

Coming from Xray and made for the use with the XB4 4WD buggy is a 82mm centre driveshaft dogbone. Made from Hudy spring steel the 82mm variant is used when utilising the rearward motor position that requires a shorter rear driveshaft. The hardened dogbone comes with a black surface treatment for reduced wear, it sports laser-etched size markings for easy identification and it has to be used in combination with the 95mm front centre driveshaft.

Xray XB2 aluminium front arm mounts

Xray XB2 aluminium front arm mounts

Xray have introduced optional front arm mounts for the XB2 line of 2WD buggies. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised the bulkheads are available in a 23/29 degree and a 26 degree variant to fine-tune the steering characteristics of the vehicle. The 23/29 degree part must be used with the optional aluminium front arm brace. Using the alloy parts in place of the standard composite bulkheads will lead to a more stable car with increased on-power steering.

Xray XB4 medium compound chassis side guards

Xray XB4 medium compound chassis side guards

Xray have introduced optional medium compound chassis side guards for the XB4 buggy. Softer than the kit side guards, they are a tuning aid for chassis flex adjustment. The medium-hardness side guards increase the torsional flex, leading to a softer overall chassis assembly and they are therefore recommended especially for low-traction tracks.

Xray XB2 Dirt Edition 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

Xray XB2 Dirt Edition 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

Following the XB2 Carpet Edition 1/10th 2WD buggy kit that was introduced back in November, Xray now also release all information on the forthcoming Dirt Edition kit. The buggy was designed for very-low to medium-high traction conditions and it comes with a 3-gear gearbox with high layshaft design, moving the motor much closer to the differential than the Carpet Edition gearbox. This makes for improved rear traction in low-grip conditions which is further helped by the inclusion of a ball differential instead of a gear diff as in the Carpet kit. Other Dirt-specific features include medium composite suspension parts, composite front and rear shock towers as well as a specially designed motor upper brace and battery strap. The kit will hit the stores world-wide very soon.
