Hiro Seiko titanium hex socket screw kits

Hiro Seiko have new titanium hex socket screw kits for the Yokomo B-Max4 III, the Xray XB4 and XB4 2WD as well as the Team Durango DEX410v4 available. The sets are made as a direct replacement for the stock steel screws, they save weight, add durability and a certain amount of bling to the chassis.

Xray T4’14 aluminum chassis

Seen at last weekend’s ETS in use by Martin Hudy, Xray have released their new aluminium chassis for the T4 platform. Designed & developed especially for high traction track conditions, the chassis helps to increases stability and increase steering at the same time making the car more easy to control and easier to drive. Suggested for use on carpet tracks it is CNC-machined from 2mm thick premium Swiss 7075 T6 and additionally black coated. The chassis has a more narrow design and only fits the T4’14.

Xray XB4 long graphite upper deck

Xray introduce this long graphite upper deck for the XB4 and XB’14 4WD buggy. Machined from 2.0mm carbon fibre the long 1-piece upper deck is designed for the use in medium to high traction conditions such as carpet and astro turf racing. The part reinforces the chassis assembly by connecting the front diff bulkhead with the central drive system, and provides a location for the body mount. The deck also captures the central drivetrain bearings and holds them in place in their supporting bulkheads.

Magnus Vässmar renews with Xray

Magnus Vässmar renews with Xray

Xray announce that Nordic on-road racer and multiple Swedish national champion Magnus Vässmar will continue to race with the team in 2014. Magnus will race electric touring car as well as 1/10th off-road and plans to attend at the IFMAR World and EFRA European Championships, the ETS series, LRP TCM, IIC Vegas and of course many national races. This is what Magnus has to say about the deal:

I am very happy to re-sign with Xray because I feel that the team as a whole has been working very well together. The T4 car is a great development in the right direction and also the new XB4 buggy has very promising future. My personal goals is to step it up even more and aim for higher results and compete as much as I can in touring cars and also 1/10th buggy. I am very much looking forward to the future with Team Xray.

Arena optional upper decks & silicone wires

Arena have new optional upper decks for the Xray T4’14 and the Yokomo BD7-2014 as well as a range of silicone wires available. Starting with the upper decks, the Xray part is machined from 1.6mm carbon fibre while the Yokomo deck is made from slightly thicker 1.65mm material. Both are direct replacements for the stock parts. Also new are high-current silicone wires in 10, 12 and 14 AWG. The 10 and 14 AWG wires come in black and red colour while the 12 AWG variant will be available in a translucent white and transparent silicone coating also. Last but not least are black colour high-flex silicone servo and ESC wires with KO/Futaba and Sanwa/JR compatible plugs. They are ideal for create the sought after “all-black wire” factory look.

Adrian Berntsen continues with Xray for 2014

Adrian Berntsen renews contract with Xray

Xray have announced that European Junior champion Adrian Berntsen will continue to race the 2014 season with the Xray team. Adrian is focused on the on-road TC class and as such will race the T4 and participate at the major races during the season. The 2013 DHI Cup winner had this to say:

I’m really happy to re-sign my contract with Xray and continue to use Xray high-quality products throughout the next seasons. After coming back to Xray, I’ve achieved my best international results ever and I work hard to continuously improve. I can’t wait to continue cooperate with the best R&D team throughout the next seasons and hopefully achieve many more nice results.

2014 Xray Challenge Germany - Announcement

The 2014 Xray Challenge Germany is being held a stone’s throw from the world famous Nürburgring. The setting is to be local club MAC Adenau’s permanent indoor race track, called the “Eifel Ring” in a nod to its big brother. With a 90-metre-long carpet track that’s almost as challenging as the Nürburgring’s legendary Nordschleife, the international Xray Challenge Germany event offers drivers the chance to compete in three classifications: touring cars – modified or stock categories – and 1/12 standard.
