Xray XB4 2014 announced

Xray announce the 2014 version of their EFRA European Championship winning XB4 4WD buggy. Based on an all-new chassis frame the buggy now features separate front and rear parts to allow the suspension to be mounted in the standard position using the rear chassis plate or in a lower position directly onto the 7075 aluminium chassis which is the preferred position for low-bite tracks. The 2014 kit further features a new narrow arm design with adjustable flex setting, and a chassis weight balance system for swift weight bias adjustment.

CSO T4 Super-V2 chassis conversion kit

CSO introduce the Super-V2 chassis conversion kit for the Xray T4 platform. The kit contains a new ‘flexible’ carbon fibre main chassis and upper deck, a new motor mount with three slots for motor fastening, a new centred upper deck brace and a new layshaft mount that now is detached from the upper deck for improved flex characteristics. Included in the set is also a set of aluminium belt pulleys, a carbon fan mount brace, and new aluminium steering posts, a steering post brace and a connecting top deck post. It is understood that the set fits all pre-2014 T4 cars.

Xray announce the XB4 2WD buggy

Xray announce XB4 2WD

Xray announce the soon release of the XB4 2WD off-road buggy. Prototypes of the buggy have been seen in the hands of Xray’s factory drivers like Martin Bayer for some time now and giving its name – XB4 – the buggy is based on Xray’s successful 4WD buggy. This means the vehicle will very likely feature a rear mounted LiPo saddle or shorty pack with a mid or even front motor configuration – ideal for the upcoming indoor carpet racing season. The kit will also see the introduction of a new cab forward body shell with a radical cabin design and a low rear end section. More information about the XB4 2WD will become available very soon.

Xray XB9e low-profile buggy body

Xray introduce this ultra low-profile body shell for the XB9e 1/8th off-road buggy. The high performance body is of a low centre of gravity and very aerodynamic design to not only stand out from the crowd but also increase the performance of the buggy. The sides of the body were specially designed to perfectly match the shape of the side guards, preventing dirt from entering. The rear body mount hole is oval-shaped to ensure the necessary body movement when landing jumps, while the mild cab forward design in combination with the low profile design ensures perfect aerodynamics. The body comes clear, including window masks and overspray film.

ZZRacing T4 2014 screw sets

ZZRacing have new optional screw sets available for the Xray T4 2014. Coming in titanium or stainless steel variants, each set includes all the screws needed to replace the stock black steel fasteners. Both sets are made from high quality material with the titanium screws scrubbing some weight and adding rigidity compared to the stainless steel fasteners.

RSD RX4 chassis conversion for Xray T4

The Reflex Racing RSD RX4 chassis conversion kit is designed for Xray’s pre-2014 T4 platform. The kit includes a new 2.25mm thick and only 85mm wide main chassis plate that offers more ground clearance during fast cornering. The chassis sports mounting positions for both regular length and shorty LiPo battery packs and features new captured pivot balls and adjustable plastic insert suspension mounts. Toe angles and track width is adjustable using different inserts and the design of the system does not allow the suspension arm to get loose when clipping curbs or dots, which over a race will allow the car to stay more consistent from beginning to end of the run. The backwards compatible set includes the main chassis, aluminium suspension mounts, a full plastic insert set, front and rear stainless steel hinge pins and hardened steel pivot balls.

Exotek XB4 aluminium option parts

New from Exotek Racing come several aluminium option parts for the Xray XB4 buggy in the form of rear hubs, servo and wing mounts. Starting with the rear hubs, the parts are machined from 7075 aluminium and sport vertical camber ball stud mounting positions for easy roll centre adjustments using different thickness shims. Included with the parts that come in orange or black colour are 2mm spacers to match the stock geometry of the kit’s plastic hubs. Next up are aluminium servo mounts, again machined from 7075 aluminium. The parts offer higher rigidity and sport a lightweight design and come in orange or black colour. Last but not least are the aluminium wing mounts. They are of a heavy duty design and add a huge amount of durability while being light of weight at the same time. Just like the other XB4 parts they are available in orange or glossy black colour.

CSO One Super-V flex chassis conversion kit

CSO introduce the Super-V flex chassis conversion kit for the CSO One touring car kit. The set includes a new flexible chassis plate with large milled-out sections to improve roll flex during cornering. Along with the updated chassis comes a corresponding upper deck, again with machined sections to increase flexibility. Included with the set comes a new middle layshaft mount that separates the mount from the top deck, as well as aluminium centre pulleys, new steering posts, a middle reinforcement post, new suspension mounts with added mounting points for the inner split blocks, as well as a new motor mount for a wider range of pinion gear choices. The set is rounded out by a fan mount for 35mm and 40mm units. It is understood that the set also fits the Xray T4 (2013 Spec) touring car.
