Xray T3 progressive springs

Available for the T3, Xray’s new progressive springs marked 2.2–2.6 are soft at the beginning of the compression, similar to hardness 2.2, but become harder as the spring is compressed more in the middle, with hardness 2.6 at the end. Black color and laser engraved for easy identification. Available as a pair, the springs are individually measured, controlled, inspected and matched to provide identical damping characteristics. During the selection process, each spring is compressed in several fine increments and the values are recorded. Each spring is then matched with another spring of identical characteristics.

JConcepts Finnisher for Xray XB9

Further expanding their line of Finnisher bodies, JConcepts have made their popular body shell available for the Xray XB9. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps while the forward cab placement changes performance / visible bias which helps steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have a strong and chiseled look, including a recessed area in the rear which allows another option for air-escape. The chassis side-guard to body fit has been tightened up which helps eliminate large empty voids that contribute to mid-flight directional changes. The area behind the cab has been greatly lowered exposing more of the engine heat-sink allowing more heat-escape while the V-stepped feature which is a highlighted styling cue of the Finnisher buggy bodies has been incorporated toward the rear and allows an additional area that can be trimmed to allow air-flow through the body.

Xray Column – Crazy Months

The 61st installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives a run down on the early summer season results for the team as well as an insight into a new secret project that he has been working on for the past 8 years.

But the project has been such a hugely interesting professional and personal challenge for me that I simply could not give up regardless of the costs involved. I know it is not a smart business decision, and many times I had internal discussions if it still made sense to continue to invest time and resources without an upcoming result. But sometimes there are challenges in your life when you must persevere and do whatever it takes, and this was exactly the case.
