I have been racing for Team Xray since the start of my international racing career and have decided to continue with Xray for the next two years. Over the years we have developed a strong relationship which has helped me develop as a driver both on and off the track, and achieve some great results. Xray Multi-Diff T3 LiPo

Xray Multi-Diff T3 LiPo

The new version of the Multi-Diff from Xray, called the Multi-Diff T3 LiPo has 3 different settings, standard one-way, solid one-way and solid axle. The lightweight one-way outdrives are manufactured from Hudy Spring Steel and have a hex-slot machined at each end, into which a lightweight machined steel hex-style locking axle can be inserted into both outdrives to lock them together. This allows the creation of a solid one-way, meaning that both outdrives turn freely together as a one-way (at the same time), thus creating a solid one-way off-power. To create a full-time solid axle, a strong steel pin is inserted through aligned holes in the main aluminum body of the Multi-Diff and the steel locking axle. This locks the outdrives completely, creating a full-time solid axle. Includes factory-pressed (non-replaceable) high-quality German one-way bearings, hand-ground for maximum running precision and strength.

Toy Fair 2011 – Xray

Xray RX8 1/8th scale

Xray have a larger booth this year to accommodate their growing range of products the featured one being their all new 1/8th scale on road chassis. As told in their previous column and as you saw in the previous story to this one, the RX8 is a pretty standard affair for a car in this class with its only stand out feature being the legendary Xray quality. Using Hudy spring steel for the drive train and front oneway it also carries over some parts from its World Champion brother, the NT1, with the shock absorbers and receiver box the same. Its a very nice looking car too, in all black, and from all accounts it goes really well on the track too.

Xray Column – RX8 The Making of Part II

Xray Column – RX8 The Making of Part II

The 50th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj goes further in depth into the design, prototype and production of the new RX8 1/8th scale chassis which is expect to be officially unveiled on Thursday of this week.

Early in 2009 I started with a ‘blank sheet’ in the computer, but with a very clear idea what I wanted to achieve. First of all I did not want to design anything revolutionary; in high performance model racing car design if you want to have a competitive car there is unfortunately no space for something different or revolutionary.
