Paul Lemieux extends Xray contract thru 2012

RCAmerica/Xray USA have announced the re-signing of team driver Paul Lemieux. The multiple US National Champion has been a great asset to RCAmerica both on and off the track and both parties are looking forward to the new season. Paul had this to say:

After 5 years of partnership between Team RCAmerica/Xray and I we have decided to keep a good thing going, I have re-signed with both companies for 2011 and 2012. This means that I will be using exclusively Xray cars and Max Power motors along with Hudy products. I am excited about gaining more experience with the ever so growing Xray product line. I would like to thank everyone at RCAmerica in Dallas TX and also Xray in Slovakia. See you at the races!

Juan Rodriguez joins RCAmerica/ Xray USA

RCAmerica/Xray USA have announced the signing of Juan C. Rodriguez. The current two-time Puerto Rico National Champion joins Team XRAY USA for the 2011 season. After having dominated the 2010 season, Juan will be competing this year running an Xray NT1 WE powered by Murnan Modified RB M3 v2. Juan had this to say:

First of all, I would like to thank Mugen USA and Mike Swauger for the support they have provided me for the past few years. I have no doubt that the quality and performance of all Hudy/Xray products will help me further develop my skills as a racer. I am really looking forward this new venture with RCAmerica and Xray USA for this upcoming season.

Nitrosisters Xray X10 235mm conversion kit

Nitrosisters have released this 235mm conversion kit for the Xray X10 200mm chassis. Supplied with lightweight hub extensions and made of 7075-T6 aluminium, they key into the hubs for a precise, wobble free fit every time and also have a locating ring for the wheel to centre on. Each hub extension is 15mm wide, bringing your stock Xray X10 to 230mm which allows the driver to tune the rear track width with shims to get just the right width for the body of choice. The wide front end plate included two sets of front end holes, the inner set is for 200mm bodies while the outer set is for bodies with wheelbase from 220mm till 225mm. The included adjustable turnbuckles are made of titanium.

Xray NT1 lightweight gear diff pins

New from Xray for the NT1 are these aluminium hard coated pins for the gear differential. For serious racers who are conscious of weight savings, these diff pins are 64% lighter than the standard versions. CNC-machined from premium lightweight Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, the hard-coating gives extra durability and long life. Sold in a pair.

Xray 808 2011 spec

Xray have released details of the 2011 version of the 808. Coming soon, major improvements give the new 808 higher performance, higher reliability and higher enjoyment. New updates include an all new chassis plate, suspension geometry and improved weight balance and features a lot of the same updates seen on the prototype buggy run by Juraj Hudy at the Worlds in Pattaya. Also as the image shows, the new car will sport a new high downforce cab forward body shell.

Mike Swauger joins RCAmerica/Xray USA

Mike Swauger joins RCAmerica/Xray USA

We heard some rumors about his departure from Mugen and today RCAmerica/Xray USA have announced the signing of Mike Swauger for the 2011 season. Mike is a World Champion, Multi-time World’s finalist and has many National titles also. They are very excited with what Mike brings to the table for the 2011 season. Mike will be using the NT1 WE and the all new RX8 this season along with SRC 1/10 and 1/8 tires. The first race out for Mike will be the Winternats in Fort Myers FL and he will also be attending the up and coming 1/8 World Championship in Homestead, FL. Mike had this to say about the deal:

I would like to thank Mugen for the many years of support and wish them the best. I am really looking forward to this next year with RCAmerica/Xray USA. I feel that I will fit in well on the team with follow drivers like Ralph Burch and Paul Lemieux. This will be the start of one of the strongest teams in the US and I am very happy to be part of it. I will be helping Xray USA with R&D and some team management on the West coast. Thanks to everyone that has showed me support thru the years and I am proud to let everyone know that my new home is RCAmerica/Xray USA.

Huge R/C Products, the new brand from 2002 ISTC World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya has released the next products in their range. You can now get high quality ceramic bearing sets for both the Xray NT1 (19 pieces) and T3 (14 pieces). These bearings are lighter and harder than the standard steel versions and have minimal friction for a smoother and freer drive train.
