Xray T4 ECS BB 52mm & 53mm driveshafts

Coming from Xray and made for their T4 line of touring cars are the new ball-raced ECS BB driveshafts. The construction of the driveshafts offers a significant performance gain over the standard blade-type driveshafts as the friction between the driveshaft and the outdrive is greatly reduced thanks to using ball bearings, which helps to give a much smoother handling feel, especially on fast direction changes, such as chicanes. The reduced friction also helps to increase cornering speeds. The driveshafts are available as 52mm variant for smaller, more technical tracks where more initial steering is needed while the longer 53mm driveshafts are best suited for more open and flowing track layouts. They will provide slightly less initial steering, but better steering in the middle of the corner, as well as on power. The BB driveshafts only work with the front solid axle in combination with the optional #305138 outdrives.

Exotek TLR 22 Ti rear axles & CF body mount plates

Exotek have announced the release of new titanium rear CVA axles for the TLR 22 buggies as well as carbon fibre body mount plates for the TLR 22, Kyosho RB7, Team Associated B6 and Xray XB2 buggies. Starting with the titanium rear axles, the parts are of super light weight and usable with all 1.0 to 5.0 buggies, however they do not fit the 5.0 Elite VHA axles and hubs. The axle shafts reduce the weight and rotating mass of the driveline for quicker acceleration and they are recommended for drag racing only.

Xray XT4 2021 4WD stadium truck kit

Xray have introduced the 2021 variant of their XT4 1/10th scale 4WD stadium truck. The latest incarnation of the XB4-based vehicle feature a new, longer main chassis for improved stability while new narrow front and rear suspension mounts make for an updated suspension geometry that provides increased overall traction. To accommodate the new suspension hangers, the front and rear gearboxes have been narrowed to ensure proper clearances. The drivetrain sees the addition of new front, centre and rear diffs that offer an increased oil volume for better consistency in long mains and all-new differential crown and pinion gears, CNC-machined from Hudy spring steel, ensure improved lifespan and reduced noise. Also part of the drivetrain package are new centre driveshafts with 2.5mm drive pins for increased efficiency while new, longer front and rear driveshafts round out the 2021 drivetrain package. Other features include an updated aluminium motor mount for easier pinion gear access, reinforced servo saver ports improve steering precision and a revised rear shock tower allows the attachment from both sides of the gearbox. The kit will hit stores very soon.

RC Maker introduce new T4’20 GeoCarbon optionals

RC Maker have introduced new GeoCarbon series option parts for the Xray T4’20 mid motor touring car. First up is the GeoCarbon steering brace that connects the top of the two posts of the steering to prevent excessive horizontal flex and bending under regular cornering force. Constructed from 1mm carbon with recessed areas, it is quite flexible to minimally alter longitudinal flex down the chassis. The result provides increased post rigidity with less force placed on the chassis holes and posts, as well as more consistent steering with marginally reduced front flex to increase steering response. These work with both aluminium and plastic steering bellcranks, and are also sized to cover the blue shields on the steering bellcrank bearings to keep things stealth.
