Coming for RC-Cox’s Xray T4 Mid conversion kit is an aluminium motor mount plate. The cross-shaped alloy part connects the centre bulkheads, providing more cornering speed and chassis flex settings. The part is machined from high-quality aluminium and it comes orange anodised to match the remainder of the car’s alloy parts.
7075 Special Parts from Italy have announced the release of more aluminium and brass option parts for the Xray T4F FWD touring car. First up is a LCG 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that is stiffer and narrower than the original carbon fibre chassis, making it ideal for medium to high-bite track conditions. Excessive machining of the rear portion still allows for a certain amount of flex, retaining good rear end side bite. The chassis is available separately or as combo package including front, centre and rear end brass weights.
Made for Xray’s new X12’20 1/12th scale pan car kits are three new high-quality screw sets from Hiro Seiko. The range includes a lightweight full titanium fastener set, a mixed orange aluminium and titanium ultra lightweight screw set as well as a low-CG kit that includes orange aluminium screws for the upper portions of the car and heavy stainless steel screws for the lower chassis area, ensuring a lower overall centre of gravity compared to just using lightweight screws. All three are made of high-quality material and they are available now.

Zero Tribe have announced the forthcoming release of an aluminium main chassis plate for their Xray T4 Mid mid-motor chassis conversion kit. The lower main plate comes machined from 2.0mm aluminium and its design allows for optimised flex characteristics when running in medium-high to very high-bite track conditions, ensuring optimsed balance and an easier to drive car. The release is scheduled for mid-October.

Following a first teaser image, PSM from Germany have finally unveiled their new DTC and HTC touring car aluminium main chassis plates. These unique chassis have been specially developed to suit medium-low and medium-high grip conditions. The DTC Delta Traction Characteristics chassis feature delta shaped cut-outs to provide soft torsion characteristics along with consistent performance. The softer flex allows the car to generate more mechanical grip, which is helpful in low grip conditions and/or very tight tracks.
German company PSM has released first teaser images of their forthcoming new balance weight chassis for cars such as the Yokomo BD9, Xray T4, Tamiya TA07 and the Team Associated B74. No details are available yet beside two teaser images but by the look of things the chassis allow to add balance weights in milled pockets for a lower overall centre of gravity and upped overall weight when needed. Xray have announced the release of the follow up to their World Championship winning 1/12th scale chassis, the X12’20. Available in two different versions, dubbed the EU and US versions, the latter featuring aluminium in place of much of the carbon for super high traction conditions found stateside. The new car sports a new backbone with a redesigned narrower chassis plate, which minimises contact with the track surface during cornering. This redesign has meant the Slovakian manufacturer has had to design their all-new side link mounting system via aluminium and graphite holders. Other changes include the removable front suspension brace that allows steering response adjustment while updated centre shock absorber holders update the mounting positions and geometry to improve on-power steering. Up front the new servo holders have extra mounting positions for smaller servos, while the kit comes supplied with graphite composite front upper arms to increase steering response. A lighter pod brace holder from graphite composite material helps increase consistency and to resist flexing and the new graphite backstop for the battery pack allows for multiple mounting positions for the battery in the cross-chassis alignment.

Listening to customer demands, RC-Carbonstore have announced the soon release of the all-new Rebellion-RC Cross-Flex aluminium chassis for their MM mid-motor touring car conversion kits. Of an ultra-low centre of gravity and adjustable flex design the main plate offers basically three chassis in one as it allows to adjust the overall flex to a wide range of track conditions thanks to interchangeable inserts that are held in place using M1x2mm screws. The highly machined herringbone design chassis can be equipped with brass inserts for running in high to very high-bite conditions, lighter and more flexible carbon fibre inserts make for a softer chassis for medium traction conditions and running the chassis without any inserts gives the most amount of flex for lower grip tracks. Mixing and matching the inserts and using more or less screws for fastening also allows to adjust the car’s weight bias and flex in certain areas. Testing of the new design is already underway and the main plate kits, that will become available for Rebellion-RC’s T4, TC7.2 and BD9/BD8 mid-motor chassis conversion kits will be up for grabs in about three weeks’ time.
