Xray XB4 aluminium shock towers

Xray have introduced new aluminium shock towers for the XB4 series of buggies. The parts are machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium and they come black anodised for wear and looks. The front tower features lowered upper shock mounting positions and an overall lower design for an optimised centre of gravity while the rear tower matched the shock positions of the carbon fibre part, however it sports new outer wing mount positions that allow to shift the rear wing up and down to adjust the aerodynamic balance of the buggy. The 3mm thick shock towers offer increased overall stiffness compared to the carbon fibre parts for an easier to drive and more predictable car when running in high-bite track conditions.

Xray RX8 wire anti-roll bars

Xray have announced the release of new wire anti-roll bars for their RX8 1/8th on-road kit. Adding to the 2.6mm front and 2.8mm rear kit swaybars are 2.0mm to 2.8mm front as well as 2.6mm and 3.0mm rear variants that allow to fine-tune the car’s roll characteristics for a variety of surface conditions. The anti-roll bars come laser-etched for easy identification.

RedWorks XT2 & XB4 carbon fibre optionals

RedWorks from France have introduced new carbon fibre optionals for the Xray XT2 and XB4 kits. First up are front and rear shock towers for the XT2 truck. The parts are of an updated design that is both stronger and also cooler looking thanks to several machined sections and a heavy chamfer that ensures greater durability. The front and rear tower are available separately. Also new is a 2mm gearbox and suspension spacer for the XT2 and XB2 that raised both the gearbox and suspension which comes in handy especially when running with low ride heights and in high-grip conditions. Last but not least is a carbon fibre top plate for the XB4 4WD buggy that connects the front gearbox and the steering posts. Like the shock towers the top plate features heavy machining for looks and durability.

Xray XT8 1/8th nitro truggy kit

Xray have introduced their new XT8 1/8th nitro truggy kit. The kit builds on the proven XT8 platform but features refinements in the suspension and chassis area. First up is the new front suspension geometry with updated C-hubs and steering blocks. The latter are of an new design with interchangeable Ackermann plates and moulded-in threaded bushings for the kingpin screws. New to the “2019” model are also updated C-hubs to accommodate the updated steering blocks as well as CV-design driveshafts front and rear to replace the previous universal-type shafts. The chassis was updated to work with the included “soft” radio tray which is the best solution for low to medium bite track while an optional hard radio tray is available when running on high bite surfaces or in high ambient temperatures. For the rear of the truck, Xray have included a new lightweight 1-piece wing mount that is about 40 percent lighter for a lower centre of gravity and optimised overall weight balance. A new wing mount brace helps to prevent gearbox breakage as it connects the wing mount and chassis braces that help to transfer impact energy towards the chassis. Also part of the kit is an updated 7075 alloy shock rear shock tower to accommodate the new rear wing mount, updated rear uprights with larger outer bearings make for improved reliability and upgraded shock absorbers with soft compound bottom-ribbed volume compensator membranes help with suspension efficiency. The kit is rounded out by new aluminium clutch shoes as well as 2.6mm front and 2.8mm rear swaybars.

Xray GTX8 4-shoe clutch set

Coming from Xray and made for their GTX8 1/8th scale nitro GT kit is a 4-shoe clutch set. The design makes for improved throttle feel and engine response and it allows for super-easy clutch setting, ranging from soft to hard settings, ensuring optimised performance on different track conditions and with different driving styles. The 4-shoe clutch also features smaller, lighter internal parts, and the design allows for more balanced clutch bell engagement compared to the traditional 3-shoe design. The clutch setting can be tuned with the adjustment nut to control the engagement point as desired. The complete set includes the flywheel, graphite clutch shoes, a medium hardness clutch spring, assembly screws, flywheel collar, flywheel nut and pressure sleeve.

Xray XB8 graphite C-hub lower suspension arm

Coming from Xray and made for the XB8 series of buggies is a graphite-reinforced lower front suspension arm for the C-hub-style suspension. The special graphite composite mixture offers increased rigidity in high-bite and high-temperature conditions while allowing for a more free suspension movement on dusty tracks. Due to being less flexible, the arm increased stability and cornering speed on medium to high-bite tracks. The arm is available separately and it is usable on both the left and right hand side of the buggy.
