Elliott Harper joins Xray Factory Team

Xray have announced that multi-time UK national champion Elliott Harper is joining their Factory Team to race the Xray T4 platform. Elliott leaves Schumacher after 3 plus years to return to a team for whom he raced with at the start of his career when he burst onto the international racing scene, making the final on his Worlds debut in Bangkok in 2008. He had the following to say about the deal.

I am very excited to rejoin the Xray factory team. Xray was the very first team I started to race professionally with almost 10 years ago, with great successes winning multiple European Junior Championships with the 1/10 Touring Car and 1/12. After collecting experiences with other teams in the last few years I am excited to be back “home” with the Xray team and I am honoured to represent them again. I am thankful for this opportunity and I’m confident that I will continue to grow and achieve the best possible results at the highest level, whilst working closely with all Xray drivers. I look forward to seeing you all at the track very soon!

Bezerk X10 Pro10 235mm conversion kits

Bezerk from Australia have introduced their new Pro and Basic Pro10 235mm conversion kits for Xray’s popular X10 World GT pan car. Starting with the Pro kit, a new wider 2.5mm thick front brace pumps out the width and uses the kit front suspension components. The new tweak plate provides two pickup points per side for the side dampers to make it compatible with older and newer models. LiPo location is also taken care of with suitable notch in the tweak plate. At 3.0mm Bezerk upped the thickness here to provide reliable support for both the side springs, damping and the body. The pod, pod upper plate and pod brace have been widened to suit the IRS axle. A 3mm ride height spacer is also included. Topdecks made from 2.5mm are provided to stiffen the chassis, an ideal upgrade for higher grip tracks. A revised front shock mount provides an extra hole for an integrated battery stop. The kit also includes a slotted upper servo plate to allow easy centralising of any servo. All parts are individually available in case any spares are needed. As for the Basic kit, it includes all needed parts to bring the chassis to 235mm specification, however it doesn’t include the topdecks, front shock mount and slotted servo plate.

Xray X12 2019 EU & US edition 1/12th scale kits

Xray have introduced the 2019 versions of their European Championship winning X12 1/12th scale pan car that like the 2018 cars comes as specific EU or US specification kit. The EU kit, coming with a carbon fibre chassis and composite front suspension part was designed for very low to high track conditions while the alloy chassis’d X12 comes with a carbon and graphite composite front end, suitable for medium to very high “black carpet” tracks. New for the 2019 kits are updated chassis with added grooves for the battery backstops and updated rear axle height adjustment inserts whose asymmetric design allows to shorten or lengthen the wheelbase by ±1mm in order to fine-tune weight distribution, traction and cornering behaviour. New for the rear axle clamps are also composite inserts that will extend bearing life.

Zero Tribe T4’18/17 stock conversion & chassis parts

Zero Tribe from Japan have introduced their new Stock conversion kit as well as a hard chassis and narrow upper deck for the Xray T4 2018 and 2017 kits. Starting with the Stock racing conversion, the set includes new large diameter middle layshaft pulleys as well as new standard and low-friction belts to ensure full compatibility with the standard spool and diff gears.
