Yokomo YD-2AC brushless special

Yokomo announce a further upgrade of the pre-assembled RWD drift car YD-2AC, which is ideal for beginners. They will now deliver a special package equipped with the digital brushless steering servo SP-02DV2, which is highly evaluated by advanced users. The SP-02DV2 is a drift-only model equipped with a ‘hunting suppression function’ that reduces malfunctions of the gyro, which often becomes an obstacle during drift driving. And the brushless system is combined with the BL-SP4 speed controller with various programming functions and the latest ZERO-S 13.5T drift motor. Since the chassis is a super standard model YD-2E of RWD drift, you can enjoy sufficient performance with the same specifications and customise with various optional parts.

Yokomo BD10F competition FWD touring car

Yokomo have introduced their new BD10F competition FWD touring car, which utilises the components from their BD10 touring car and realises the optimum weight distribution for FWD drive. The bulkhead and suspension arm are the same as the BD10LC, but it is a pure competition FWD touring car that has been converted to FWD by changing the main chassis and motor mount. The dedicated weights on the front and the position of the motor near the front ensure the traction required when accelerating. They have managed to eliminate the excessive steering response due to the weight increase, by changing the Ackerman ratio with the long bell crank. At the rear, in addition to the Axon shock that has a reputation for smooth operation, a mass damper that is simple but has a high effect of canceling vibration is adopted, and the rear grip is increased to prevent stall when cornering. Of course, there are some optional parts for BD10 that have been released so far that can be shared, and running costs can be reduced, including the sharing of consumable parts.

Willspeed Yokomo YZ2 RF2 conversion

The famous Willspeed 5 gear transmission and billet aluminium chassis RF2 conversion platform is now available for the Yokomo YZ2. A conversion designed for medium/high traction surfaces to maximise corner speed along with drivability, the set includes all parts to convert a Yokomo YZ2 into a Willspeed RF2. Featuring an aircraft grade billet aluminium tub style chassis, for a combination of light weight, low centre of gravity, integral strength, and single piece no tweak design. The ultra low profile aircraft grade aluminium 5 gear transmission housing features optimised weight distribution with lowered idlers, lowered layshaft and unique no tower “A” frame design, hugely lowering the centre of gravity. Other items include the aluminium motor mount and aluminium shock tower base with internal undercut keyway which interlocks with the transmission housing for super solid mounting of the premium carbon fibre uprights. This ultra lightweight platform, race ready with full size shorty LiPo, full size servo, Willspeed RF2 Falcon 2.0 bodyshell (included) and Schumacher tires approximately 1495g. Pre orders are being taken now for a September delivery.

Yokomo Racing Pit Bag

The Yokomo Racing Pit Bag, a popular choice with racers, has been redesigned and is now available. Starting with the main logo that has become the ‘Racing Factory’, the large-capacity main compartment is a drawer type that makes it easy to take out parts if it is installed beside the pit. The lower compartment has a large capacity that can accommodate a 1/10 size RC car while the side pockets of the bag have one zip type that can store parts and one large flap type that can also store setting boards. If you open the flap on the top of the bag, a dedicated space will appear where you can store your tools neatly. The durable telescopic carrying handle and large rollers make it easy to transport.

Yokomo YD-2SXIII graphite high traction chassis

For the YD-2SXIII, Yokomo have introduced this new main chassis made of graphite that changes the running characteristics of the machine by drastically changing the shape. Although optimised for the YD-2SXIII, the screw hole positions on the main chassis are the same, so E-series gearboxes and rear motor conversions can also be installed. While using the 2.5 mm thick plate material common to the YD-2 series graphite chassis, it has been slimmed down overall and has been significantly lightened, so it can be used on low grip road surfaces such as P tiles and coloured concrete. In particular, the area around the rear is designed to be as thin as possible by slit processing, making it possible to maximise rear traction. This main chassis has the perfect characteristics when you want to improve the stability of drifting in corners.

Yokomo YZ-2 2wd RTR buggy

Yokomo have released this pre-assembled RTR YZ-2 2wd buggy. This is a ready-to-run version of the same YZ-2 which won the 2017 World Championship, featuring a pre assembled chassis, pre installed electronics, painted body and glued tires. Assembled in Japan, the aluminium main chassis, graphite shock tower, large-capacity shocks, sealed 3-gear transmission, etc. are manufactured with exactly the same specifications as the latest YZ-2. The controller and alignment have also been adjusted, so you can immediately put the car down on the track.

Yokomo YD-2 RWD drift chassis

The YD-2 from Yokomo has undergone a major evolution, with the brand new machine bearing the name of “Z”, which can be said to be the final form. It is equipped with a new 3-split transmission case on the shape-up main chassis and will start as a new standard machine. A new integrated bulkhead is used around the front to improve the left-right balance of the steering and improve operability and the new upper deck is compatible with slide racks as standard in the kit, and steering characteristics suitable for various situations can be obtained with minimal changes. The gear case of the 3-gear transmission has also been newly designed, and the maintainability has been greatly improved by dividing it into three parts. Since you can access the differential simply by removing the cap on the rear side, you can easily handle even ball differentials that are frequently maintained. In addition, the motor position can be selected from 13 stages by rotating the motor mount, making it easy to obtain the balance of the centre of gravity according to the road surface, from low mount to high mount. With 3 gears, the throttle response is outstanding, and combined with the rear traction produced by the supple main chassis, it is a very capable machine.

Axon BD10 conversion kit

Axon have introduced a new conversion kit for the BD10 called the ‘TC10’. Developed to take the best of the high performance Yokomo BD10 and push it to its limits, the first area of focus was the front and rear shock towers that have been redesigned with a new lower profile design. Axon have also developed a new big bore type super short damper specifically for this project as well as a new carbon main chassis and top deck to optimise chassis roll and pitching rigidity. Also included with the kit are new lightweight double joint bushings, new front and rear anti-roll bars, Fusion turnbuckles, Fusion aluminium screws, new spring titanium screws, low friction suspension arm pins and Teflon slider shims.
