Mon-Tech pre-cut Nazda2 & IS200 bodyshells

Coming from Mon-Tech Racing are pre-cut and pre-drilled Nazda2 and IS200 190mm touring car bodyshells. They are available as both carpet and asphalt variant and they are available for a range of chassis such as the ones from Xray, Yokomo, Schumacher and Awesomatix and they greatly reduce the preparation time while also allowing for a pro finish. They are also painter-friendly as they are not fully cut out, retaining the inner wheel arch and and door sill portions that are easy to remove after painting by cutting a couple of connections.

Yokomo YD-2 8mm offset aluminium wheel hex set

Coming from Yokomo are 8mm offset aluminium front wheel hexes for the YD-2 drift car. Machined from aluminium and coming black anodised and with etched size markings the hexes make for a different driving feeling and they are recommended especially for skilled drivers.

Yokomo machined 64 pitch pan car main gears

Coming from Yokomo are machined 64 pitch main gears for 1/10th formula and 1/12th scale pan cars. Made to achieve maximum trueness the gears offer very high precision, resulting in maximised acceleration, top speed and run time. The 18-ball main gears fit most pan cars with ball differential and they are available as 92T, 88T and 76T variant.

T-Works hard-coated aluminium touring car drive axles

Coming from T-Works and made for the Yokomo BD, Xray T4 and HB Racing Pro5 touring cars are hard-coated aluminium drive axles. The shafts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and they sport multiple mounting holes for the CVA cross pin to allow the usage of a new set of holes once the currently in use starts to wear out. A hard-coating makes for improved durability and included with the set come shims, cross pins and cross pin retaining rings. The wheel axles are available as variant for the Yokomo and Xray cars as well as a HB Racing specific set.

Jackie Shum signs with Yokomo

Yokomo have announced the addition of Hong Kong based Jackie Shum to their team. Jackie will enforce the Asian Yokomo team with attendances at races in Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand and Japan and he has the following to say about the deal:

First of all, big thanks to Tom, Aso and Umino for giving me this opportunity to become a Team Yokomo driver. It is definitely a very important milestone in my RC life. I will keep racing and help promote Yokomo brand in the future. I am also looking forward to seeing you guys at the track soon. Once again, thanks Annie Chan and Alan Chan from Waigo Hobby for giving me support in the previous years.

Yokomo BD8 1/10th 4WD touring car kit

Yokomo’s World Championship winning BD8 1/10th 4WD electric touring car will be released by end of October, according to the Japanese manufacturer. Successful at this year’s IFMAR Worlds in China in the hands of Germany’s Ronald Völker the car utilises a range of improvements over the previous BD7 platform with a new centre aligned front belt improving the car’s balance and smoothness during acceleration. The drivetrain features a 1-piece 20T centre pulley that takes both the front and rear belt while a new motor mount and flex system moves the motor more inboard, again to achieve an optimised weight balance. The motor mount is also smaller for reduced weight and a new lower mounting pattern improves chassis flex for increased grip and corner speed.

JConcepts YZ-2 S2 buggy bodyshell

JConcepts’ popular S2 bodyshell is now also available for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy. Featuring a low centre of gravity design the S2 assists fast corning on high-bite surfaces while offering plenty of downforce thanks to a progressive cab design that also makes for best possible steering while maintaining exceptional overall balance. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. Carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with a tight fit and finish. Cut-lines are included on the body to accommodate 3 and 4 gear lay-down transmission layouts as well as the “dirt” 3 gear stand-up configuration, giving all out versatility. The body is available in a regular and lightweight variant including the Aero rear wing.

Yokomo DRA & DRC drift car tyres

Coming from Yokomo are two new tyres for 1/10th scale AWD and RWD drift cars. First up is the asphalt-specific DRA tyre made from polycarbonate. By reducing the weight of the tyre greater control and smoothness was achieved while cut shoulders give better fender clearance for that stylish, flush look. The second new tyre is the DRC moulded from HDPE and made for carpet and polished surfaces. An increased contact patch improves overall grip and performance. Both tyres are available in 4-piece sets with the DRA being selected as the control tyre for the FEMCA Cup that is held in the Yatabe Arena in October.
