SDRC Supercross Series Rd5 – Report

Round 5 of the SDRC Supercross Series was held at SDRC Raceway of San Diego, California last weekend. The event was held in several 1/10th scale off-road classes and it saw more than 50 drivers in attendance. 17.5T Expert Buggy had Josh Gonzalez taking the overall TQ, however it was 3rd place qualifier, Jacob Macias with the win some 4.2 seconds in front of Brenden Edwards as Josh rounded out the top another 6.5 seconds back.

Pelle Culmsee doubles at Danish 1/8th off-road opener

The opening round of the Danish 1/8th off-road nationals was hosted by the Skanderborg RC club this past weekend. SWorkz driver, Pelle Culmsee (SWorkz/Picco/T-Pro) was the man to beat in both the nitro and electric classes as he walked away with the TQ and win in Nitro Buggy from 2. Daniel Bubel (Xray/FX/AKA) in 2nd and Magnus Frandsen (JQRacing/Alpha/6Mik) in 3rd.

Adam Drake wins Open Truggy at JBRL Nitro Series Rd3

Last weekend’s round 3 of the 2020 JBRL Nitro Series held at Empire R/C Raceway in Brentwood, California saw Mugen’s Adam Drake walk away with the win in the Open Nitro Truggy class. The TQ spot was taken by SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri, however the former IFMAR World Champion and Expert Nitro Buggy A-main winner wasn’t able to fend off Adam in the 15-minute A-main event with Drake eventually taking the win some 0.9 seconds ahead of Ryan as Xray’s Jaden Tiu completed the top 3 results.

Cole Ogden TQs & wins at G Force Series Rd4

Round 4 of the G Force Series was held at the Augusta RC Supercross track with more than 100 entries for nitro and electric 1/8th scale off-road classes. Expert Nitro Buggy saw HB Racing’s Cole Ogden taking the overall TQ and also the win in the 25-minute A-main event, leaving behind Reggie Tongue (Mugen) in 2nd, some two laps down. Jason Booko (Mugen) came in 3rd, another lap down as Patrick Rossiter and David Olsen completed the top 5 results.

Jörn Neumann doubles at NORC Series opener

The opening round of the German NORC Series was held at the MAC Eifel Elos club in Hellenthal this past weekend. In the 2WD Modified Buggy class it was European frontrunner and multi-time international champion, Jörn Neumann with the win from Marcel Schneider on the runner-up spot. Max Montermann came in 3rd overall. Daniel Laubach came in 4th, Frank Wakan ended the day in 5th overall.

Ryan Cavalieri TQs & wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd3

Round 3 of the JBRL Nitro Series was held at Empire R/C Raceway in Brentwood, California this past weekend, attracting over 200 entries. In the premier Expert Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri with the overall TQ and he also came out on top in the 15-minute A-main event from 3rd place qualifier, Xray’s Kyle Turner on the runner-up spot. Already a lap back it was Mugen’s Adam Drake who rounded out the top 3 result.

Rinderknecht & Fuller crowned Winter Series champions

The RC Compound of Des Moines, Iowa hosted the final round of the final round of their Winter Indoor Series this past weekend with over 65 entries. In the overall standings of 2WD Modified Buggy it was Mason Fuller who would walk away with the overall title some two points ahead of Tom Rinderknecht, who ended the season on the runner-up spot. Kaden Fuller would complete the all-TLR top 3 result. Over in 4WD Mod Buggy it was Tom Rinderknecht who came out on top by a 2-point margin as Mason Fuller finished in 2nd overall. Chad “Rico” Karstens rounded out the overall top 3 result.

Harker & Pillars win at Stickit1Racing Mod Series Rd2

Round 2 of the 2020 Stickit1Racing.com “We’re Back Racing” Friday Night Modified Off-Road Series was hosted by PDX RC Underground in Portland, Oregon last week. Yokomo’s Travis Harker and Joe Pillars would tie for the overall win in the highly competitive 2WD Modified Buggy class that consisted of 24 entries, with three wins each. Harker would win the tie-breaker by posting the single fastest run. Team Associated’s Ryan Reavis finished 3rd overall.
