Manuel Stankowitz joins Iris Racing

Electric Touring Car manufacturer Iris Racing has announced that Euro Touring Series 40+ Champion Manuel Stankowitz has officially joined its racing team.  The German driver will not only race the Iris ONE, but will also campaign the upcoming ONE FWD version once it is released later this year.  Having raced the Iris ONE for some time already and provide valuable input, the car’s designer Andreas Myrberg is looking forward to working with Stankowitz as a team driver saying, ‘I met Manuel not to long ago, but already from the go I thought he was a very cool, likeable and very fast touring racer.  He has been aboard for a while now already and his hard work, dedication, setup input and overall development with Iris ONE and ONE FWD has already been great.  I am looking forward to keep working with Manuel with current and upcoming IRIS cars on and off the track.’

Iris ONE Option Parts

Following extensive testing since the release of the Iris ONE touring car, the German brand are now launching a number of option parts to further enhance the handling performance of the car. First up is an Aluminium Differential Cover. It significantly enhances the seal of the differential, ensuring consistent performance throughout its entire runtime. Made from high-quality 7075 aluminium, this differential cover is both sturdy and lightweight. Anodised in a striking Iris red, it adds a distinctive look to your vehicle. Moreover, the cover features a ball bearing that acts as a guide for the differential output, thereby further improving performance.

Iris ONE V2 Suspension Arm Shock Mount Set

Iris has released a V2 Suspension Arm Shock Mount Set for their ONE 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  The upgrade is engineered for high-grip tracks to reduce car roll and improve damping characteristics.  There are two variants for mounting the carbon plates. The Standard-Version, the turnbuckle mounting hole on the outside position on the arm.  This can be used with the standard turnbuckle and ballcup.  On the alternative-Version, the turnbuckle mounting hole on the inside position on the arm.  Ballcup and turnbuckle have to be shortened in length.  This variant is more progressive than the standard variant and even better for high-grip tracks.

Electric Touring Car manufacturer newcomer Iris Racing has introduced signature Iris Race Team merchandise that consists of a T-shirt and hoodie.  The Iris Race Team T-Shirt is made from 100% cotton, making it comfortable and perfect for everyday wear as well as at the track. The shirt features the Iris logo on the front and rear, making it a must-have for racers of the German brands ONE chassis.  The Iris Race Team Hoodie is made from a blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, making it a great choice for cooler weather.  The hoodie also features the Iris logo on both, the front and the rear with a sown on Iris label on the front a nice finishing touch on both garments.

IRIS confirm MIBO International Race entry

Electric Touring Car newcomers IRIS has confirmed its official participation in the inaugural MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic next month.  The German brand owned by Ruddog Distribution will be represented by Dionys Stadler in the Modified Touring with the ‘One’ chassis designer Andreas Myrberg also contesting the event in 13.5 Stock Touring Car as well as supporting Stadler efforts. Just 3-months after the release of its first chassis, IRIS joins Yokomo, Mugen and Xray in sending touring car team drivers to the March 3-5th event.  Ruddog owner and keen 1:10 Offroad racer Sven Rudig will also race in Hrotovice in the offroad section of the event in which both Xray and Schumacher will have official team entries, one of whom is reigning 4WD World Champion Bruno Coelho.

Iris ONE 2.0mm Aluminium Solid Chassis

Continuing its release of option parts for its ONE electric touring car, German brand Iris has added a 2.0mm Aluminium Solid Chassis.  Developed specifically for high-grip tracks like ETS or CRC black carpet, the chassis stiffens up the front of the car, while also lowering the centre of gravity of the car, which makes it more predictable and easier to drive in such high-grip conditions.

IRIS torsion bar spring & rotational shock system

Following the official unveiling of its brand new debut competition electric touring car kit last week, IRIS has today released some more detailed images of the ONE’s torsion bar spring and rotational shock system.  Making its competition debut over the weekend at the ETS in Germany, the Andreas Myrberg creation has been generating a lot of interest which is a positive thing for the touring car category overall.

Another IRIS teaser reveals motor mount

IRIS, the Electric Touring Car newcomers being headed up by designer Andreas Myrberg, has given another hint into what to expect from their first car with the release of this image of the motor mount it will use.  Having teased the market with a chassis plate photo last week, they have also announced that all will be revealed on November 24th when the first official images of the car are to be released.  In the meantime, you can speculate on the ‘innovative design’ Myberg has in store for the category.
