Capricorn C-03 updated rear upper suspension arms

Italian company Capricorn have introduced new rear upper suspension arms for the C-03 nitro kit. Keeping the same geometry as the old-style parts the new items utilise a 4mm turnbuckle, greatly improving durability and reliability. In addition the turnbuckles are also more user friendly as they now take a 2mm hex driver for adjustment over the more delicate 1.5mm tool that was required with the old design.

JConcepts Finnisher MBX-7TR body & XB2 gear shield

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher body shell for the Mugen MBX-7TR as well as a 3-D-printed gear shield for laydown transmission equipped Xray XB2 buggies. Starting with the body, the popular and ROAR nationals winning Finnisher design is now also available for Mugen’s MBX-7TR truck. The slight cab forward design with a raked windshield makes the truck stand out as does the large centre fin which adds stability at high speeds. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum performance the included champion rear name plates provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

Serpent Viper 977-E Evo2 aluminium chassis plate

Serpent’s 977-E Evo2 aluminium main chassis plate is now also available as an option part for the 977-E Evo1. Machined from 5mm 7075-T6 aluminium and coming with some heavy machining to allow for ultra-low mounting of all components, the chassis is usable on the Evo1, allowing to run the older spec car with optional narrow rear suspension mounts as well as a narrow front end.

Yokomo Racing Performer touring car springs

Yokomo have introduced the all-new Racing Performer Ultra Series touring car springs as well as two optional parts for the SLF short shock II dampers. Extensively tested and used by Ronald Völker to win the 2016 IFMAR Worlds and the recent 2nd round of the 2016/17 ETS, the Ultra Series springs are made in Germany by a full scale car supplying company and they come powder-coated and with laser-etched markings. They will become available in seven different configurations including linear and progressive types from early April.

Wallie Builds B6 gold titanium pre-built tie-rods

“I like building tie-rods”, no one said ever and that’s why Wallie Builds have introduced pre-built tie-rods for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. Made using genuine Lunsford turnbuckles the tie-rods sport greased AE ball cups that are set at flush with the threads for ease of adjustment when setting camber and toe and they are available soon with your choice of gold or optional silver turnbuckles.

RPM X-Maxx front bumper mount

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas X-Maxx monster truck is the front bumper mount. A direct replacement for the Traxxas part, the mount is a stout, ultra strong alternative to the small beam supports offered with the stock mount. RPM’s version replaces those small tubular posts with a large, 4mm thick plate, offering increased durability and flexibility to help absorb those heavy frontal impacts. The mount is made from high-quality nylons and available now.

JConcepts MBX7R/RC8B3 front scoop

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Mugen MBX7R and Team Associated RC8B3 is the front scoop. Introduced at the 2016 IFMAR World Championships in Las Vegas, the front scoop replaces the front nose-cone on the vehicle with a front wing design that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The scoop can be painted, left clear or frosted for the desired look, fit and finish and the set includes two pieces per package so a driver has enough to outfit their nitro and E-buggy with the same package.

JConcepts YZ-2 3-gear laydown gear shield

JConcepts have added a new 3-D-printed option part to their Shapeways store in the form of the 3-gear laydown transmission gear shield. The part slides directly on the Yokomo 3-gear transmission case and aligns with the stock geometry. The motor plate installs just over the gear shield and is positioned as normal. The gear shield is protection for the spur gear itself but also protects the low-profile body designs such as the JConcepts S2 and F2 bodies. The part is now available exclusively through Shapeways.
