Serpent 977 Evo carbon chassis & SL8 XLi gearbox

Serpent have introduced new option parts for the Viper 977 Evo as well as older specification 977 cars. First up is the carbon and aluminium chassis set for the latest Evo kit. Coming as a set the carbon fibre chassis included front and centre aluminium inserts, with the front one being used to control the flex of the chassis while the centre part below the engine adds rigidity and cooling surface. Specific to the chassis for the 977 Evo is a different front width and geometry but the chassis is also usable on older spec 977 kits. Included with the chassis, that scrubs around 60g of weight compared to the standard alloy chassis, come flanged aluminium brackets to hold the inserts in place without doing harm to the carbon material.

Protoform have introduced the new Nor’easter late model 1/10th scale dirt oval bodyshell. An evolution of PF’s line of race bodies and using the latest in aerodynamic styling from full-scale late models, the body has been refined to give even more steering and side bite. Extra clearance has been added around the right front fender and the front splitter reconfigured to allow for more body lean while the side skirts have also been enhanced for more rigidity and stability. Made to fit all the popular dirt oval late model pan car chassis, the Nor’easter meets all dirtoval.com national rulebook specs and comes with a pre-cut and pre-drilled spoiler kit complete with end plates and hardware. It is produced in genuine 030″ Lexan and also includes a detailed decal sheet featuring two different sets of headlight and grille options, window masks, and paint-then-peel overspray film.

Revolution Design Racing Products have expanded their range of Ultra Wrenches by a 3.0mm hex and a 3.0mm ball hex variant. Both make use of the proven and ergonomically shaped black anodised aluminium handle and they sport new high-quality HSS steel tool tips that are titanium-nitride coated for durability. The new material tool tips are also a running change to the other Ultra Wrenches and they are available separately to upgrade existing wrenches as well.

Serpent Spyder shock absorber option parts

Coming from Serpent and made for the Spyder line of 1/10th off-road vehicles are several shock absorber option parts. First up are bottom aluminium caps with additional machining for improved looks. The CNC-machined 7075-T6 alloy parts come black anodised and the machining not only adds visual impact, it also allows to better grip the caps for a tighter fit of the parts.

Arrowmax have introduced their Tool Base V2 tool and wrench platform. Designed to hold up to 24 tools the organiser not only takes an assortment of Arrowmax’ own Honeycomb wrenches and drivers but also the multi shock tool as well as three V2 turnbuckle wrenches. The part is CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes gun metal anodised and laser-etched to match the (not included) tools.

Tekin Redline Gen3 brushless motors

Available soon are Tekin’s all-new Redline Gen3 540-size electric brushless motors. The third generation Redlines are re-engineered from the ground up resulting in a smaller, lighter and faster sensored motor that also delivers smooth power across the whole RPM range. The Gen3 21.5T, 17.5T and 13.5T are available in an RPM version as well as the standard versions. Designed for applications where higher RPM is more beneficial than torque, these motors are ideal for 1/12th and touring car racing classes. The Gen3 modified group of motors are custom tuned with rotor sizes to give you the performance needed for your application. The 21.5T down to 8.5T group come standard with 12.5mm performance rotors and the 7.5T to 2.5T group are equipped with a 13mm rotor for that extra torque needed in modified racing.

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations and made for the Team Associated B5M, T5M and SC5M is an aluminium C suspension mount. Weighing in at only 5 gram the CNC-machined part is available in black or blue anodising and while adding security and durability it also allows to change the toe-in and anti-squat inserts without removing the mount from the chassis.

ARC R8.0E 1/8th electric on-road car

Coming soon from ARC is the R8.0E 1/8th scale electric on-road kit. The electrified version of the popular R8.0 nitro car shares more that 80 percent of the parts with its nitro sibling while offering a purpose-designed layout with the drivetrain located between the saddle pack batteries. The chassis allows to use either 2S or 3S hardcase LiPo battery packs which are located as close to the centreline as possible for an improved weight distribution and maximised agility. The layout provides an ultra-low centre of gravity, a 50/50 left-to-right and 48/52 front-to-rear balance. The result is minimised chassis roll to make for better handling and a more balanced driving feel. Tests have shown that dual 2S packs and a 2200kv motor will accelerate the car to speeds of up to 85km/h while dual 3S batteries will propel the R8.0E to speeds of up to 115km/h, exceeding most nitro cars.
