RC Maker T4 & BD9 ceramic/ABEC7 bearing sets

RC Maker have introduced their new ceramic and ABEC7 steel ball bearing sets for the Xray T4 and Yokomo BD9 touring cars. Using ceramic ball races for the drivetrain and ABEC7 steel bearings for the hubs gives the best balance of longevity and performance. The ABEC7 bearings have extremely tight tolerances and prevent developing slop and notchiness, ensuring a smooth and efficient drivetrain for a very long time. The T4 and BD9 sets are available from now on.

Avid Aura Revolution ball bearings

Avid have introduced their new Aura Revolution line of oiled, tight tolerances steel ball bearings. Categorised as a budget-minded performance bearing and because it is oiled and has slightly higher tolerances than Avis’s greased Halo line, the bearing will perform almost as well as the compnany’s high-end Aura Ceramics but at more than half the cost. It is designed for the highly competitive racer that wants to have an edge but does so much racing that spending the money on the Aura Ceramic’s isn’t always practical. The bearing comes in Avid’s Revolution seal, which is a rubber seal on one side and metal on the other and they are made with Chromium Steel races because the surface finish is smoother than other materials such as Stainless Steel. This results in less noise and better performance. The bearings are now available in Avid’s famous FlexKit software, allowing to build customised packs for nearly every application.
