RC Maker GeoCarbon TC wing support set

RC Maker have introduced their new GeoCarbon wing mounting solution for touring cars. Developed for serious racers, it is designed to protect the wing, and wing strut in crashes, as well as provide maximum downforce and efficiency from the wing. The “L” shaped design can be switched to left and right to fit different bodies and wing positions, and offers rearward and outer wing chord support. Flexing of the wing in high speed straights and corners can lead to unpredictable handling. This is due to the wing folding back, but also, when the wing folds back the sides of the wing lift up to even further increase the detrimental impact. Our side facing supports minimise this lifting, which also in turn minimises flexing of the wing backwards. This creates an overall more stable wing in every direction! Also included is an adjustable carbon fibre support for under the bodyshell. This clamps the wing and body between two pieces of carbon, providing more support and stiffness. It can be shifted forward or backwards to suit different bodies and wing positions. The set is complete with two lightweight alloy screws and two lightweight alloy nuts to provide a lightweight, stable solution to mounting the wing.

JConcepts L8 Night 10” wide late model body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new L8 Night 10” wide late model dirt oval body shell. The 10” wide body capable of a drop-fit on an assortment of Late Model chassis, the body styling starts up front with a heavily dropped nose pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. Super tall power rails line the front fenders allowing corner tracking stability. Offset cab positioned for high-speed left turning with recessed front, side and rear windows, and dual ribs on the roof strengthen the top of the shell. The flat rear deck incorporates indented channels promoting flow upward to the large rear spoiler and side-dams. The innovative side-panels of the body feature recessed sections, this accomplishes a multitude of design goals in the process. First, the side pockets increase the rigidness of the panel giving one of the highest aero elements of the body stability at speed and in risky manoeuvring situations. Increased resiliency also works to minimise body tucking and helps maintain a healthy distance from wheel well to tyre. Centred in the bonnet, a protection shroud for the mock air cleaner chiseled into the hood of the new body looks very “Late Model”. Included in each package, the pre-trimmed rear spoiler with hardware is one of the most trick items on the market. The slotted side-dams are ready to go and feature an adjustment section of 3 positions for the rear spoiler angle. The rear spoiler is cut, bent and ready to position on the back of the body with the included 9 pieces of light-weight hardware. As with all JConcepts body shells, the set includes clear body, window mask, instruction sheet and decal sheet.

RC Maker Montecarlo anti-tuck wing mounts

Coming from RC Maker and made for Mon-Tech Racing’s Montecarlo touring car body shell is the anti-tuck wing mounting set. 3-D-printed for a low weight and exceptional durability the mounts prevent body tucks behind the rear wheel arch during racing, as well as inconsistencies on high speed tracks and in windy conditions, causing the bodyshell to vibrate. The new V2 Lite set weighs in at only 5g for the pair, and it only requires one additional M3 screw other than the wing mounting screw to secure the strut behind the wheel arch. Using existing upper wing buttons, owners can screw directly into the strut securing it at the top whilst also securing the body’s wing, making for quick and easy body preparation.

Protoform Hyper-SS 1/8th scale GT body shell

Following a first teaser Protoform have now officially introduced their all-new Hyper-SS body shell for the popular 1/8th scale GT classes. When IFMAR announced the first-ever 1/8th GT Worlds with a new set of Global Body Spec rules, Protoform set out to design a new body that was not only fast, but also relevant to the full-scale racing era that is here and now. In the past, GT8 cars have always featured cab-forward sports-car style bodies. But in recent years, the rapid advancement of the full-scale GT cars has evolved into the Supercar, and then more recently into the Hypercar that will be featured in the premier class at the Le Mans 24h in 2020. The radical, low-slung shape of the body includes a unique rear-wing with moulded-in Gurney flap. At the rear window area, low-drag louver vents can be trimmed out to allow for efficient engine cooling if required. The Hyper-SS meets all 1/8th GT Global Body Spec rules and is already approved for IFMAR competition at the upcoming World Championship. The body fits popular 1/8th scale GT cars with the shorter GT1 wheelbase of 325mm, and comes with rear wing, nylon wing mounting hardware, decal sheet, window masks, and overspray film. It is available in two weights of high-quality polycarbonate: 1mm regular weight and 0.75mm light weight for expert racers.
