SWorkz S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT kit – Coming soon

Following a first teaser image SWorkz have released another preview for their forthcoming S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT kit. Based off of the latest S35-3 buggy platform the car will make use of the same suspension components as the off-road kit although shocks and chassis will be on-road specifications. More information and all images will become available in time for the release that is scheduled for this May.

Xray XB2D’17 Dirt Edition 2WD buggy – Coming soon

Just in time for the new outdoor season Xray have announced the soon release of the 2017 variant of their popular XB2D dirt edition 1/10th scale 2WD off-road buggy. As usual no official details about the new features are available but we keep you up to date on any progress.

Tamiya M-07 Concept – Detail images

The announcement of Tamiya’s all-new M-07 Concept M-chassis kit has created some stir recently and now M-size car aficionados can rejoice as the first detailed images of the car appeared on the internet. On show during this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show, the car sports many features previously known from touring cars such as proper (read: longer) A-arms, adjustable rear toe settings, and also a quick release gear differential for easier setup adjustments. Along with the kit release Tamiya will also have a range of option parts available such as dual joint front driveshafts, carbon fibre shock towers, aluminium steering bellcranks and motor heatsink along front and rear sway bars. The kit will hit the stores soon.

WRC Racing GTX 1.3 1/8th nitro on-road kit

WRC Racing from Italy have introduced their GTX 1.3 1/8th nitro on-road kit. Based on the previous GTX the 2017 version has received some subtle updates such as an aerodynamically shaped front bumper, a new floating radio plate system and a redesigned fuel tank, the latter making for a lowered overall centre of gravity. Also part of the 1.3 package is a new rear diffusor for improved rear end protection and downforce.

SWorkz S35-GTE 1/8th electric GT kit

The next company to hit the market with an 1/8th GT kit is SWorkz. The Asian brand has released a first teaser image of their forthcoming S35-GTE electric kit and given the name the vehicle is based off of the company’s S35-series off-road buggy kit. More information will become available soon.

Blaze Racing Longsword 235 wide Pro10 car kit

Blaze Racing from Poland have introduced their new 235mm wide Longsword 235 Pro10 pan car kit. The car utilises a conventional link-type rear end design and a CRC front end in combination with a 3mm carbon fibre chassis and front suspension plate. The rear roll damper plate, designed to also protect the rear axle, as well as the centre shock plate, are cut from even thicker 3.5mm carbon fibre for outstanding rigidity. The power pod is of a sliding axle mount design for virtually step-less ride height adjustments while the rear brace also allows to mount a motor cooling fan from stock. The main chassis accepts a variety of battery configurations including dual 96mm 2S LiPo shorty packs, 2S inline, 1S and 2S shorty transversal as well as front or rear mounted 2S shorty packs to name just a few. The kit is rounded out by a wide 3mm fibre glass front bumper that protects the front suspension from heavy impacts. The kit is available from now on.

Xray GTX8 1/8th nitro GT car kit

Following a couple of teaser images Xray have finally unveiled their all-new GTX8 1/8th nitro GT car kit. Developed for the ever-growing 1/8th GT class the car is based off of the European Championship winning XB8 off-road buggy and it sports several on-road specific features to adapt the car to the requirements of competition on-road racing. The kit is based on a hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that features strategically machined sections for a reduced weight and lower centre of gravity of the components such as the engine, fuel tank and differentials. The composite side guards can be equipped with optional carbon fibre braces to adjust the overall chassis stiffness.

Mugen Seiki MTC1 electric touring car kit – Coming soon

Following a first teaser image Mugen Seiki have released more information on their forthcoming MTC1 1/10th 4WD electric touring car kit. The company’s first electric on-road kit was developed for more than a year and it features a class-standard dual belt drive train, an “intelligent” caster adjustment system, zero tweak flex system, adjustable body positioning, ultra low profile big bore shocks, front double joint drive shafts, hard coated aluminium rear drive shafts, low friction pulleys, ball raced sway bars, one piece motor mount, fully adjustable narrow steering system, aerodynamic front bumper, and a fully adjustable suspension in terms of camber, toe, caster, wheelbase, track width, roll centre, diff/spool height, and steering angle. No additional images are available yet but as the car looks pretty much production ready the official presentation shouldn’t be too far away. In addition to Mugen’s original teaser image you can view above we tried to get more out of the photo so you can find a slightly brightened up image after the break.
