TLR 22 4.0 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

TLR have introduced their new TLR 22 4.0 1/10th 2WD off-road buggy kit. Building on the successful 3.0 kit, that was introduced back in November 2015, the 4.0 variant was developed with maximised versatility in mind. The kit builds on a new lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that has been revised to accommodate a variety of battery configurations while machined pockets take optional weights to fine-tune the buggy’s weight bias. Included are also two transmission options, a standup gearbox for low to medium-bite tracks as well as a laydown option that moves the motor about 20mm towards the centre which is helpful especially on high-bite surfaces.

BMT 016GT 1/8th nitro GT kit

Italian company BMT has revealed full details on their all-new 016GT 1/8th nitro GT car. Building on the success of the 011, the kit was developed to provide an ultra low centre of gravity which was achieved by a newly shaped fuel tank and a laydown servo configuration. A specially designed electronics support allows for a swift release after undoing only three screws. Also new is the lightweight transmission with 2-speed gearbox being as light as possible for improved acceleration, braking and mileage while also utilising 0.8 module gears for greater overall drivetrain efficiency.

SWorkz S35-3E 1/8th E-Buggy kit – Coming soon

SWorkz have released a first teaser image of the forthcoming S35-3E 1/8th E-Buggy kit. No detailed information is available yet but looking at the image it appears the buggy will sport the same new chassis and suspension features as the nitro kit, with some purpose-designed gizmos for the electric side of things. We bring you more information on the buggy as soon as they surface.

Yokomo YZ-2DTM Ryan Maifield edition 2WD buggy

Yokomo have introduced the new YZ-2DTM Ryan Maifield edition 2WD buggy kit. Based off of the “dirt specific” YZ-2DT, the kit however utilises a laydown transmission as found in the carpet kit to better suit today’s high-grip dirt tracks. Additionally the DTM comes with a new rear shock tower brace, it features height adjustable rear hub carriers with fine 0.5mm increments,  and it comes with new high-grip specific steering hub carriers. The kit is rounded out by updated ball ends for smoother and more reliable operation and it includes a JConcepts S2 bodyshell and Aero rear wing. The kit will become available by beginning of April.

Xray have released a first teaser of the forthcoming RX8 2017 1/8th scale nitro on-road car. As usual no official details are available prior to the release, that is set for sometime in March, but we keep you up to date on all information as soon as they surface.

ZF Concepts Z4 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Italian company ZF Concepts have introduced their all-new Z4 1/8th nitro on-road car. Designed by Federico Zugno the car will offer some new-to-the-class features such as the extensive use of composite materials over aluminium and so the kit will feature a moulded rear mono block for perfect transmission alignment and an integrated body support, it sports an easily adjustable rear swaybar as well as a front suspension that allows for nine different roll centre settings. On top of this the gearbox axle will be supported by four instead of two ball races. The Italian-made kit will hit domestic stores early March and it will become available World-wide a bit later that month.

ARC R8.1 2017 1/8th nitro on-road car kit

ARC have introduced the R8.1 1/8th nitro on-road car. The latest version comes with an all-new chassis design that utilises a sliding weight system in the front that allows to easily and conveniently adjust the weight bias using a sliding brass weight. Also new is the Flex Upper Deck that has become a standard part and that allows to adjust the front end flex by installing or removing a Y-brace. A similar system in the rear of the car helps to further fine-tune the overall torsional flex of the car.

Serpent Cobra SRX8e – Coming soon

Serpent have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming Cobra SRX8e 1/8th E-buggy kit. The Billy-Easton-designed buggy is based off of its nitro sibling and will make a first public appearance at this week’s The Dirt Nitro Challenge. The kit is set for a release in April and we bring you more information as soon as they surface.
