Element RC Enduro Builder’s Kit 2

Element RC have updated the Enduro Builder’s Kit 2 by including their GKSTM shock towers in front and rear. Their shock mount inserts provide the ability to adjust shock angle, droop and vehicle ride height without affecting spring preload. Matched up with the shock mount inserts are their race-proven, ultra-smooth Factory Team bronze shocks with black caps and collars, perfect for traversing rough terrain. Along with the updated shock towers, they’ve included the GKS aluminium track bar mount that is bolted directly to the frame rails. This makes the front suspension more rigid and flex-free with a more precise steering feel. Also included are updated Factory Team 12.3-inch wheelbase high-clearance links with black nitrate finish and low-friction Delrin pivot balls, which are more resistant to abrasion and friction wear. You get all these new features along with our revolutionary Stealth X transmission with the ability to adjust the front and rear drive ratios independently across three different levels. In the box you get both the 5.7% and 11.83% overdrive gears, and available separately is a one-to-one ratio option for those who wish to drive the front and rear equally. The behind-the-axle (BTA) steering greatly improves approach angle and front end clearance, making rough terrain much easier to handle.

Serpent Medius X20’21 FWD chassis

Serpent have introduced an update to their Medius X20 FWD chassis, with a focus on the car’s steering and drivetrain. While the majority of the car remains the same as its predecessor the car now comes with the all new dual ball bearing DJC shafts in the front, and in the rear the all new ball raced CVDs are included as standard. Giving ultra-smooth & silent torque application throughout the suspension and steering travel. Keeping with their successful dual pivot ball suspension system, they have created even more adjustment to fine tune the handling characteristics. Their new steering hub allows adjustment of axle height, offset and roll centre. Utilising these options has allowed their team drivers to create more corner speed over the previous model. And finally you can now have the option to side mount your LiPo battery.

Xray release XT8’22E 1/8th truggy

Xray have released full details on their new XT8E’22 1/8th electric truggy platform. Sharing most of its updates with the recently announced XT8’22, it features a new chassis plate with wider rear section for increased stability as well as mounting provisions for a graphite brace for additional flex adjustment and chassis weight mounting locations for easier balancing. New front and rear arms sport a stronger, reinforced design that minimises flex in high temperatures for better handling and steering. Stronger and longer conical servo saver spring has an improved adjustment range while an all-new servo saver with chassis locked posts for more secure installation. A new lower front shock tower has improved geometry for increased corner speed and stability while shorter shock absorbers work together with the new tower geometry for improved handling. A new E concept allows for two different layout alternatives the first with rear motor position with a single battery position on the left, or front motor position using saddle pack batteries in the rear. The kit includes two graphite servo holders, one for each motor/battery configuration and a 2-piece battery holder for saddle pack layout improves balance and lowers vehicle CG. The standard battery holder is moulded from new harder material for reduced flex, while there is a compact electronics mount for speedo and receiver when using the saddle pack battery configuration.

ARC R8.3E 1/8th onroad EP competition car kit

ARC have released the R8.3E, their new 1/8th onroad electric competition car kit. Coming standard with a 5mm carbon fibre chassis which not only reduces weight but has excellent flex characteristics that delivers superior mechanical grip. The R8.3E transmission retains a 3-belt drive system through the centre of the chassis. The belts and pulleys are the same specifications as the R8.3. The integrated 3-piece upper deck connects the front bulkhead to the rear along with a fan mount for cooling the motor. The upper deck design complements the main chassis to provide optimised flex, but at the same time, reduces the likelihood of the belt flipping over the pulley. The new motor mount and a new internal ratio of 2.4, allow a wider gear ratio tuning window on the R8.3E from 4.75 to 5.85. The centralised battery position sees the batteries sit either side of the drive system close to the centerline of the chassis to improve weight distribution and lower the rolling moment. The R8.3E features new longer rear shocks that are 3mm longer than the previous model. This allows the shocks to be moved closer to the centerline for improved handling characteristics. Further improvements have been made to improve smoothness and sealing to deliver a more consistent rebound.

Xray release XT8’22 1/8th truggy

Xray have released full details on their new XT8’22 1/8th truggy platform. The car is a progression from the previous model and features a new chassis plate with wider rear section for increased stability as well as mounting provisions for a graphite brace for additional flex adjustment and chassis weight mounting locations for easier balancing. New front and rear arms sport a stronger, reinforced design that minimises flex in high temperatures for better handling and steering. Stronger and longer conical servo saver spring has an improved adjustment range while an all-new servo saver with chassis locked posts for more secure installation. The radio box is now moulded from harder material for a stronger and more rigid design to eliminate tweak issues in high temperatures and is now mounted to the chassis in more positions to create a solid and more reliable assembly. A new lower front shock tower has improved geometry for increased corner speed and stability while shorter shock absorbers work together with the new tower geometry for improved handling. Finally, ultra-efficient pre-glued brake pads give improved braking efficiency and consistent braking characteristics.
