Xray all new X1‘23 1:10 Formula Chassis

Xray have today unveiled the 2023 edition of their 1:10 EP Formula chassis the X1.  The all new X1’23 gets a new front suspension design featuring innovative CFF upper arms with improved flex characteristics and integrated camber adjustments. A new chassis accommodates the CFF front suspension, a redesigned battery backstop and revised wheelbase setting with reinforced chassis areas. A one-piece central front bulkhead integrates the steering arm mount and optimised wheelbase adjustments for simplicity. CFF front upper arms make the X1 extremely responsive & sharp, generate fantastic cornering speed & traction, and simplify the camber adjustment process for easy setup changes. The front upper arm mount allows for easier caster adjustments and top side installation for much easier assembly and maintenance. Also new is a redesigned centre top deck with easier mounting. The battery mounting system secures the pack without O-ring or tape in a tweak-free, floating manner that improves traction and consistency, and features new low profile lightweight bushings for a sleeker look and lower CG. The car features a redesigned independent wing mount system which is machined from harder carbon fibre material for more stable handling and features 2 centering pins for more secure assembly. New side braces are mounted using low profile bushings to eliminate M3 nuts.

Xray RX8E’23 1/8th EP onroad chassis

Following last week’s release of the new for 2023 RX8, Xray have today unveiled the EP version of the same car, the RX8E’23. The car is a major update on its predecessor with only a few parts carrying over from the old car. The all new chassis has narrowed front suspension pivots to increase stability & traction, more chassis cutouts to create greater flex in desired locations and additional chassis cutouts to improve engine cooling. Hard composite suspension arms combined with the improved central chassis flex keeps the suspension geometry stable while the flex is transferred through chassis and radio plate to maintain traction. Narrower front suspension holders help improve geometry, while longer lower suspension arm shock mounting holders compensate for the narrower suspension holders to maintain the ideal shock absorber geometry. Lower down-stop mounting holders without the eccentric geometry make the car easier to set suspension down-stops. There is all-new front aluminium bulkheads with a lowered design and new front upper clamps that feature integrated upper shock mounting positions, eliminating the need for a separate front shock tower. An innovative front upper shock mounting directly on the upper clamps adjusted via shims provide more flex on front suspension. A new front upper bulkhead brace for easy flex adjustments. More stability with the brace installed, more traction and steering when the brace is removed. There is an ultra-compact and super lightweight receiver box that moves the weight lower and closer to the centre of the chassis. Plus many more changes that make up the all new RX8E.

Tekno RC NB48 2.1 4wd competition nitro buggy

The Tekno RC NB48 2.0 has remained a customer favourite all over the world over the passed 3 years due to its incredible rough track handling, extreme durability, ease of maintenance, and innovative design features. Tekno RC wanted to take the NB48 platform to the next level, and knew it was time for a major upgrade. In typical Tekno RC fashion, the NB48 2.1 had to offer exceptional value while also including never-before-seen features. Of course, they had to include several already released hop-up items, but we also needed to push 1/8th buggy design to its limits. The team has been testing individual components of the new buggy for quite some time, but on his first outing with the full production NB48 2.1, Jared Tebo was able to place it on the podium at the 2022 Southern Nationals and on its second outing, Jared Wiggins took the win at the 2022 MidAmerica Outdoor Visions race.
