Xray XT4’23 1/10th 4wd Electric Truggy

Xray have released full information on their new for 2023 XT4 4wd Electric Truggy. The truck sports a new chassis layout with diff, motor and battery moved forward that makes the XT4 faster and easier to drive. The front & rear bulkheads feature a horizontal split design (HS) to retain easy diff access while adding the valuable new diff height adjustment. The front & rear HS bulkheads incorporate a diff height adjustment using eccentric bushings. The design of the HS bulkhead’s inline bushing for the bevel drive gear keeps the gear properly matched to the diff height position. It also creates a more linear orientation for the front center drive shaft, reducing the CV joint angle for increased efficiency and decreased friction and wear.  The height of the rear center drive gear is also adjustable to match the height adjustment of the differential. The new pinion gear is shorter to move CV joint closer to the differential, reducing the driveshaft angle and improving drive train efficiency. The new chassis layout moves the center diff, motor and battery significantly forwards and increases stability, allowing for more aggressive landings and making the truck more forgiving. The central drivetrain features new outdrives and dogbone driveshafts that offer reduced maintenance compared to previous CVD drive shafts. The servo mount was redesigned to fit the new frontward chassis layout and features two aluminum stands with graphite stiffener from top. Other new updates include to side guards, electronics plate, shock towers, suspension holders, battery posts, body posts and steering system.

Roche Rapide F1 Evo3 chassis

Roche have introduced their new Rapide F1 Evo3 chassis. Featuring a newly designed graphite main chassis, rear pod plate, front lower arm, caster adjust plate, top deck and chassis brace, the updates don’t stop there with new aluminium rear bulkheads and lower pod plate with centering pins. The motor mount rear bulkheads come with plastic axle ride height adjusters and are finished in red/black two tone anodising. Up front there is an all new 7075 aluminium floating servo mount which is lower thanks to the chassis plate being machined out below the servo. The graphite multi-flex top deck features adjustable chassis flex using tweak free screws and the centre damper positions are selectable on the top deck. Finishing off the many updates is a new centre pivot system with high / lower pivot position selectable, new DVS-V3 centre damper with quick rear droop adjustment and aluminium easy adjust side spring holder.

Serpent Viper 990 1/8 GP chassis

Serpent have announced the release of the Viper 990, the successor of the successful 989. The team have spent a lot time testing and development to improve the 989 platform and have put a lot of emphasis on the flex characteristic since that showed very promising results. The main new features include the ultra-narrow chassis which has been milled down to allow the lower radio plate as well as to improve flex. The central hole underneath the tank is narrower, as a consequence of the narrower chassis and so the central weight bridge is now mounted from underneath and allows for a quick change of the weight. The front weight bridge is now also mounted from the bottom to allow easy access to the weight and is now also adjustable from the bottom. There are 2 additional locations to put a small weight, just behind the servo-saver and in front of the engine. The engine has been lowered 1mm for improved flex as well to lower the CG.

Team Associated RC10B6.4 Team Kit

Team Associated’s RC10B6.4 platform continues the trend of offering two kit configurations. Both kits include the next generation 13mm diameter big-bore shocks and springs to provide the ultimate in damping and stability. The larger diameter shocks reduce pressure inside the shock and minimise the effects of the shaft displacement. This allows the buggy to feel like it’s riding on an invisible cloud when you hit harsh jumps and landings. The chassis, front end, and steering system is optimised for running reduced caster and kickup, which excels on high speed, high grip surfaces. An updated steering system with adjustable height bellcranks helps racers minimise bumpsteer. In addition, the front suspension is equipped with new -1mm kingpin offset steering and caster blocks for smooth and predictable front end feel through the entire throw. The -1mm design pushes the steering pivot closer the centre of the front tire, keeping the front end flat through the entire steering throw.

Schumacher Icon 2 1/10th Competition F1 car

Schumacher have introduced their new Icon 2, 1/10th Competition Formula car. The Icon platform is BRCA National winning and MICC championship dominating. Thanks to this and a vast amount of racing experience from their strong team of drivers and engineering team, the Icon 2 is the natural evolution of an already fantastic chassis. It boasts a wide range of new refinements to increase performance, reduce lap times and improve durability beginning with a new gear differential offering improved cornering ability in the majority of conditions. On power steering is improved along with corner entry stability. The car will also drive much flatter and have more predictability in high traction conditions. The ball differential can still be used and is likely to be an improvement only in very low traction conditions. The is also a new left hand rear wheel clamp design. This new one piece, rotationally balanced design is lighter, simpler and the perfect match for our new gear differential. It may also be used with the ball differential. An all new design for the rear wing mounting assembly, features 7075 Aluminium lower, and C/F upper components. Style, centre of gravity, durability and stiffness has been improved in this area. Other new items include V2 damper rods with a much larger internal hole diameter, new side link mounts for increased durability, new front end chassis posts for increased durability, and a new simplified and stylish front wing mounting using thread inserts.
